Today, January 11, the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district issued decisions to declare the end of African swine fever in the area.
Accordingly, all activities of raising, transporting, slaughtering, and trading pigs and pig products in Trieu Phong district are back to normal and are carried out in accordance with the Veterinary Law, the Law on Animal Husbandry, and current regulations.

It is known that previously, on October 26, 2023, African swine fever occurred in Trieu Tai commune, Trieu Phong district. As of January 3, 2024, the disease occurred in 316 households, 62 villages with a total of 1,912 pigs forced to be destroyed, with a total destroyed weight of 88,488 kg.
After more than 2 months of actively implementing disease prevention measures, up to now, African swine fever in Trieu Phong district has been controlled.
