The spacious level 4 house of Mrs. La Thi Kim's family in Lang Nom village, Hoa Mac commune, Van Ban district was completed with 50 million VND in support from Kosy Group and the help of relatives in the family. Having a solid house to live in, the life of a woman who has been living in poverty all year round is gradually getting better.
"Before, my mother and I lived in a temporary, dilapidated house that was about to collapse. I was very happy to receive support from the government and businesses to build a house. Now, I focus on raising livestock and growing crops to develop the economy," Ms. Kim shared.
Thanks to the help of organizations and individuals, Ms. La Thi Kim's family has a solid house to live in.
Old, weak, and homeless, Ms. Nguyen Thi Se in An San village, Coc San commune, Lao Cai city received the attention of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai city to support her in building a solidarity house. In particular, thanks to the connection of the Lao Cai city Red Cross Society, Ms. Se received gifts and cash from many organizations and individuals, creating a solid foundation to help her rise up in life.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Se said: "The government, the Red Cross and other organizations have been calling for support for the past four years, so my life has become less difficult."

To complete the removal of 8,227 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households and people with meritorious services, Lao Cai needs a total budget of about 360 billion VND. With the support of the Central Government, the Fatherland Front and member organizations at all levels in the province, more than 27 billion VND has been mobilized to promptly allocate and support families to repair and build new houses.
Comrade Ly Van Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province said: "Continue to implement the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to the plan. Houses that have been completed but are damaged will still be considered for support so that people can have stable housing in accordance with the policy of the Central Government and the Government".
Lao Cai aims to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of June 2025.
Since the beginning of 2024, Lao Cai has started construction of 2,674 houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching 45% of the annual plan. Determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area by the end of June 2025, the work of mobilizing resources is continuing to be strengthened by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations, spreading strongly with the message "Millions of loving hearts - Thousands of happy homes" among all classes of people.
