Bac Binh district launched a peak campaign of "50 days to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"

BTO - On the morning of March 30, the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Bac Binh district held a launching ceremony for the peak period of "50 days of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district".

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Vo Thanh Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Nguyen Cong Ly - Vice Chairman of Bac Binh District People's Committee, Deputy of the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district.

Mr. Vo Thanh Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department attended the launching ceremony of the peak period "50 days of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Bac Binh district".

Through screening, Bac Binh district has 152 households that meet the legal conditions for residential land to support the construction and repair of new houses according to regulations; including: 31 households with meritorious services, 54 poor households, 46 near-poor households, and 21 other disadvantaged households. As of March 26, Bac Binh district has completed 50/152 houses for households with meritorious services to the revolution, poor households, near-poor households, and other disadvantaged households, reaching 32.9% of the plan. Currently, the whole district has 241 households with land legal problems.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Cong Ly - Vice Chairman of Bac Binh District People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district requested communes and towns in the district to be determined to implement the peak period of "50 days of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district" (from March 30 to May 19) with specific results, creating a spreading effect in society.

To properly implement the plan, Bac Binh district calls on all cadres, party members, civil servants, armed forces, businesses and people to join hands and promote the tradition of solidarity, with practical actions in the spirit of "Whoever has something to contribute, whoever has merits to contribute, whoever has property to contribute, whoever has a lot to contribute a lot, whoever has little to contribute a little". In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, agencies, units, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations at all levels in the district focus on supporting the construction of poor households, near-poor households, and other disadvantaged households in appropriate forms, contributing to increasing the value and speeding up the completion of the project.

On this occasion, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Bac Binh district launched a competition to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district within 50 days. Accordingly, Bac Binh district is determined to complete the construction and repair of houses for households with revolutionary contributions before April 30 and eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor, near-poor and other disadvantaged households that meet legal conditions by June 30.

The peak period of "50 days of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district" is a meaningful and practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan province (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
