At the meeting, voters of Dien Bien Dong district proposed that the Government and central ministries and branches supplement capital for new rural construction for poor districts to focus on building essential infrastructure; consider adjusting the capital structure in national target programs in the direction of reducing the proportion of career capital, increasing the proportion of development investment capital for localities to focus resources on investing in building systems: roads, schools, irrigation works and domestic water supply...

Currently, Dien Bien Dong district has 20 households eligible for housing support, the total cost to be implemented is 870 million VND - this is a priority subject, but so far has not been allocated capital; District voters request the Government to promptly allocate support capital so that the district can build houses for people with meritorious services according to Conclusion No. 523 dated November 16, 2024 of the Government Office...

Voters of Dien Bien Dong district expressed their opinions at the voter meeting.

In implementing the 3 National Target Programs for the period 2021-2030: In 2024, the average income per capita of the district will reach nearly 34 million VND/year; the poverty rate will remain over 35%. Although rural infrastructure in Dien Bien Dong has been invested, it is still lacking in synchronization. While the capital demand to complete the criteria on transportation, schools, income and multidimensional poverty reduction in new rural construction is still very large; however, the annual capital allocation is still limited, not meeting the requirements of local socio-economic development. Therefore, the district recommends that more support resources be provided to prioritize investment in essential infrastructure, in order to accelerate the completion of new rural construction criteria.

Delegate Lo Thi Luyen acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of voters, especially issues related to perfecting legal policies, building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security; at the same time, directly discussed and clarified a number of contents that voters were interested in. The provincial National Assembly delegation will fully convey the legitimate aspirations of voters in the entire district to the National Assembly, the Government and relevant agencies; at the same time, strengthen monitoring and supervision of the settlement process, meeting voters' expectations./.
