From August 3, people can look up information on voluntary social insurance and health insurance contributions online on the Vietnam Social Security Electronic Information Portal.

Instructions for looking up information on voluntary social insurance and health insurance payments online

Vietnam Social Security has just upgraded the function of looking up information on voluntary social insurance and health insurance contributions of participants at collection service organizations on the Vietnam Social Security Electronic Information Portal from August 3, 2023.

With this function, when people pay voluntary social insurance and health insurance premiums to the collection staff of the local collection service organization, the collection staff will update the information into the management software system of the collection service organization, automatically connected to the management software of Vietnam Social Security.

The system will immediately provide a Confirmation Code.

People can use this Confirmation Code to look up information online on the Vietnam Social Security Electronic Information Portal at: https://baohiemxahoi.gov.vn.

Specifically as follows:

Step 1 : Participants access the Vietnam Social Security Electronic Information Portal at https://baohiemxahoi.gov.vn/

Step 2 : Select the Online Search function

Step 3 : Select the function Look up information on social insurance and health insurance contributions

Step 4 : Enter information to look up including: Confirmation code (provided by the Collection Service Organization)

Step 5 : Vietnam Social Security provides information to participants according to the Confirmation Code and Social Security Number/CCCD Number.

Information provided includes: Participant information: Social insurance code, Full name, Date of birth, Gender, ID card number, Participation type (voluntary social insurance, health insurance), Amount paid, Number of months paid, Date of recording; Information of the collection service organization: Collection service organization code, Collection service organization name, Collection staff code, Collection staff name, Contracting social insurance agency code, Contracting social insurance agency name.

Voluntary social insurance contribution level in 2023

Voluntary social insurance is insurance organized by the state in which participants can choose the contribution level and payment method suitable for themselves.

Currently, voluntary social insurance includes two regimes: retirement and death benefits, specifically receiving monthly pension, receiving one-time benefits; funeral benefits; one-time death benefits; health insurance examination and treatment benefits.

The monthly voluntary social insurance contribution is equal to 22% of the selected income level, in which the State partially supports the voluntary social insurance contribution.

In which, the lowest selected income level equal to the poverty line in rural areas is 1.5 million VND (according to Decree 07/2021/ND-CP regulating multidimensional poverty lines for the period 2021 - 2025), so the lowest selected income level for voluntary social insurance payment is 1.5 million VND.

At the same time, the highest income is 20 times the basic salary (from July 1, 2023, the basic salary is 1.8 million VND/month), so the highest selected income is 36 million VND.

From January 1, 2018, the state will support the contribution at a percentage (%) of the monthly social insurance contribution (support period not exceeding 10 years).

Specifically, 30%, 25% and 10% of the 22% income level of poor households in rural areas for poor households, near-poor households and other subjects respectively.

Thus, the lowest voluntary social insurance contribution after receiving state support for poor households is 231,000 VND/month, for near-poor households is 247,500 VND/month and for other households is 297,000 VND/month.
