Meeting to establish the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee

Comrade Lo Van Mung, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee agreed on the meeting content to establish the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee.

At the meeting, delegates listened to the draft Decision on the establishment of the Committee for Mobilizing, Receiving, Distributing and Using Voluntary Contributions to Support the Overcoming of Difficulties Due to Natural Disasters, Epidemics and Incidents in the Province (hereinafter referred to as the Provincial Relief Committee); Regulations on the Organization and Operation of the Provincial Relief Committee. Accordingly, the Provincial Relief Committee is expected to consist of 12 members headed by the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. The tasks of the Provincial Relief Committee are to organize the mobilization, reception, distribution and use of voluntary contributions to support the overcoming of difficulties due to natural disasters, epidemics and incidents in the province; promulgate regulations on organization and operation; establish a support team; report on the situation and results of the mobilization, reception, distribution and use of contributions.

Regarding the operating regulations, the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee operates according to the principles of democracy, discussion, consensus and coordination on the basis of promoting the sense of responsibility and initiative of each member; organizing mobilization, donations, receiving and managing relief money and goods (in kind); organizing the distribution and use of relief money and goods, support levels, and specific forms of support for those affected by natural disasters, epidemics, and serious incidents, etc.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lo Van Tien gave his opinion at the meeting.

Discussing at the meeting, delegates frankly exchanged and contributed ideas on the following contents: Adding more members to the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee; for members who are representatives of departments and branches, they can send a head or deputy to participate in the Mobilization Committee; tasks of members; receiving relief; relief beneficiaries, support levels, support forms; meeting regime, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Lo Van Mung, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, received the delegates' comments and contributions. The above comments will be studied and reviewed by the drafting team for editing, supplementing and perfecting before promulgation, ensuring compliance with regulations.
