More than 15,000 helmets given to first graders in Dien Bien province

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do and Vice Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee Khuat Viet Hung attended the helmet donation program .

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do received the symbol of 15,213 helmets donated to Dien Bien students.

The program "Giving helmets to first graders nationwide in the 2023-2024 school year " is jointly organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training and Honda Vietnam Company.

Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang and delegates presented helmets to first grade students of Primary School No. 1, Tuan Giao town.

In Dien Bien, the Organizing Committee coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee and related units to present the symbol to the province and representatives of more than 160 first-grade students of Tuan Giao Town Primary School No. 1. In the 2023-2024 school year, 15,213 students in Dien Bien province received helmets from the program, of which Tuan Giao district received 1,942 helmets.

The helmet donation program is being held for the 4th year, aiming to form the habit of wearing helmets for motorbike users in Vietnam, thereby increasing the rate of wearing helmets that meet the standards to 100%. Through the donation of helmets, it contributes to improving traffic safety knowledge for students and parents, building a culture of behavior when participating in traffic. Receiving helmets donated by the program to Dien Bien students , Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do highly appreciated the significance of the program. At the same time, he believes that through the program, it will contribute to raising the sense of responsibility of schools , parents and students themselves when participating in traffic by motorbike, motorbike, electric bicycle, strictly complying with the provisions of the law on traffic safety and order for their own safety...
