More than 10,000 works entered the contest "Happy Vietnam 2024"

After nearly 7 months of launching, the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" has attracted 6,863 authors to participate with 10,327 photo and video works, including 9,657 photo works and 670 video works.

At 8:00 p.m. on December 11, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists will organize the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition and announce the awards of the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024".

This is the second time the Contest has been held. This is a vivid demonstration of the deep concern and consistent policy of the Party and State towards the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of the people, taking the people as the center, in the spirit of "leaving no one behind" and creating all favorable conditions for people to participate, contribute, promote their capacity and intelligence in the cause of building, developing, protecting the Fatherland and international integration of the country.

The contest also creates opportunities for people nationwide, overseas Vietnamese and international friends to express their love for their homeland and country and their enthusiasm in creating photos and videos to promote the image of Vietnam and its people to the world, arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy nation; promoting cultural values ​​and the strength of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

After nearly 7 months of launching the Contest (from March 20 to October 15), the Contest attracted a total of 6,863 authors to participate with 10,327 photo and video works, including 9,657 photo works and 670 video works.

Among the participating authors, there are 581 international authors, 265 Vietnamese authors abroad with nearly 1,000 works and more than 50% of the authors have participated in the 2023 Competition.

After many days of serious and fair work, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 60 best videos and 150 best photos to display at the exhibition, of which 34 best works were awarded prizes.

The organizers said that each work participating in the Contest is an interesting story, an impressive moment or a meaningful message of love for the homeland and country, with pride, love and aspiration for a prosperous and happy life throughout the S-shaped strip of land.

After the award ceremony, selected works will continue to be exhibited domestically and internationally, serving the communication and promotion of Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights in 2025.

Sharing more about the award ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Director of the Department of External Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that this year's program will focus on the award ceremony, in which the main characters will be the authors and their works. The program consists of 3 parts: Land of Happiness; Happy People; Happy Moments.

The event will be broadcast live on VTV4 Foreign Affairs Channel of Vietnam Television, livestreamed on VTV Digital channel and on Vietnam Image Promotion Platform ( https://vietnam.vn ).

The total prize value of both photo and video categories is up to nearly 400 million VND, including: 02 Gold Medals, 04 Silver Medals; 06 Bronze Medals and 20 Encouragement Prizes and other secondary prizes.
