The Vietnam Journalists Association has truly become a "common home" that gathers and unites journalists nationwide, creating a useful and practical professional environment for all levels of the association, promoting professional movements, preserving the passion for the profession, promoting the spirit of dedication of members, motivating journalists to propagate and successfully implement the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, promptly reflecting the country's great and comprehensive achievements in all fields, contributing to building a journalism that is combative, humane, professional and modern.
Appreciating the role, position and importance of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the country's socio-economic life, on April 8, 2021, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 558/QD-TTg approving the "Program to support creative activities of literary, artistic and journalistic works and projects at the Central level and local literary and artistic associations; support high-quality journalistic works at local journalist associations for the period 2021 - 2025" .
The program continues to promote press support with larger funding sources, focusing on improving the professional qualifications of members of the Vietnam Journalists Association, orienting propaganda, and exploiting important topics.
The program has brought great encouragement and motivation to members, helping members and journalists have more conditions to explore, discover and build high-quality press works to serve the public; unite, bond, and attract members to actively participate in activities to build the association.

After 3 years of implementation, many journalist associations, inter-associations and sub-associations have effectively implemented the work of supporting high-quality journalism, opened many professional training courses, organized field trips, won many national journalism awards, provincial journalism awards and other specialized journalism awards, and well implemented the regulations and implementation instructions of the Central Association. The Government's high-quality journalism support program for the period 2021 - 2025 has been successfully implemented by associations at all levels with many very encouraging results in the past 3 years.
At the preliminary conference, a number of provincial and municipal journalist associations proposed that the Central Committee of the Association pay attention to and organize more training courses on skills to create high-quality journalistic works from the budget so that members and journalists, especially those in disadvantaged provinces, can have access to more modern journalistic content and skills.

Some associations at all levels have contributed ideas to improve the quality of high-quality press support work such as: Proposing the Central Association to organize training conferences for financial staff at all levels of the association; proposing a higher level of support from the total high-quality budget to directly support authors, reducing the quota of works sent for appraisal, to be consistent with reality; proposing the Central Association to work with functional sectors to be able to grant or advance the approved support budget from the beginning of the year,...
On this occasion, the conference awarded Certificates of Merit to 29 collective associations and 51 individuals with outstanding achievements in professional work and association building in 2023.
