Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association To Quang Phan said that over the past 35 years, with the attention and direction of the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and the Vietnam Journalists Association, along with all sectors and levels, Hanoi's press has made progress in both quantity and scale.
In particular, during the implementation of Resolution No. 15/2008/NQ-QH12 of the National Assembly on adjusting the administrative boundaries of the Capital, the press agencies of Ha Tay province came under the same "one roof", and Hanoi press had comprehensive development. This was also the time when Hanoi press received many press awards from the Central, Ministries, and branches and rose to the top of the National Journalists Association.
On behalf of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi presented a flower basket to congratulate the Hanoi Journalists Association on the occasion of the meeting.
Over the years, Hanoi press has always adhered to its principles and purposes, focusing on propagating the guidelines, policies and strategies of the Party, State and City; accurately, promptly and vividly reflecting all aspects of political - economic, cultural - social, security - defense life of the Capital and the country; reflecting the opinions, thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people. Hanoi press has also discovered and commended advanced models, good people, good deeds; actively participated in propagating the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; participated in summarizing practices and disseminating experiences in educating the fine traditional cultural values of the nation and the Capital.
The staff, reporters, and editors of press agencies have matured in both professional expertise and political ideology. The majority of staff and reporters have professional qualifications, maintain political qualities, ethics, love their jobs, and are passionate about creativity. Many journalists have won high prizes in the National Press Awards, Press Awards of Ministries, Departments, and Press Awards of Hanoi City.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi and leaders of the Hanoi Journalists Association awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in the Association's activities.
Under the “common roof”, since its inception, the number of members has increased to more than 900, operating in 12 Associations, Associations of press agencies and press management in the capital. The Association has made many efforts, innovated its methods and content of activities, proactively proposed many measures to gather, unite, and encourage journalists to continuously study, practice, improve their professional qualifications, political ideology, etc.
Recognizing and appreciating the achievements of the Hanoi Journalists Association in recent times, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi said that the Hanoi Journalists Association has affirmed itself as a "common home" gathering journalists of the city, a place for reporters and journalists of Hanoi to trust, exchange and learn. The Association has also organized many professional activities, "playgrounds" for members to work, exchange and practice.
At the same time, members of the City Journalists Association participated in many specialized press awards of ministries, branches, major press awards...; affirming the professional level of the city's journalists. In particular, the City Journalists Association has participated in the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association, especially major activities.

Noting that Hanoi is home to many major press agencies in the country, the Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association said that the Hanoi Journalists Association needs to further promote the role of the Association, organize quality movements to mobilize the participation of many reporters and journalists from both Hanoi and the Central press agencies, especially on the occasion of the upcoming 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. At the same time, continue to launch the movement to build a cultural environment in press agencies, take practical actions so that the movement becomes practical and effective.
On this occasion, the Hanoi Journalists Association awarded certificates of merit to 10 Journalists Associations and Branches for their outstanding achievements in professional activities and Association work.
