On the afternoon of December 30, the Trade Promotion Agency held a Conference to review trade promotion activities in 2024 and deploy plans for 2025.


Trade promotion activities are strongly innovated and implemented synchronously.

Attending the program were Director of the Trade Promotion Agency Vu Ba Phu, representatives of relevant units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade; representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Ministry of Planning and Investment; Ministry of Finance; Departments of Industry and Trade, Trade Promotion Centers of provinces/cities; associations, trade promotion organizations, and units in charge of the National Trade Promotion Program.

According to the Trade Promotion Agency, in 2024, in the context of the world economy facing many challenges and unpredictable developments, the Vietnamese economy continues to be a bright spot in the global economic picture. Under the strong direction of the Minister of Industry and Trade, the attention of the leaders of the Ministry, the active coordination of relevant units and the system of trade promotion organizations from central to local levels, with strong innovations in trade promotion activities, it has effectively supported businesses in connecting, exploiting, expanding export markets and developing the domestic market.

Accordingly, trade promotion activities have been strongly innovated and implemented synchronously through the National Trade Promotion Program, the National Brand Program, the Digital Transformation Program in Trade Promotion, proactively keeping up with the green and sustainable transformation trend.

In particular, hundreds of international, national and regional trade promotion events of the largest scale ever have been held domestically and across key export markets, markets with new-generation FTAs ​​and potential markets.

Contribute to boosting exports, promoting brands, and increasing investment attraction

The 2024 national trade promotion program has supported nearly 6,000 businesses, cooperatives, and trade promotion organizations to participate and benefit; the total value of contracts signed directly at international trade events reached nearly 100 million USD; sales at regional fairs and exhibitions reached hundreds of billions of VND, attracting nearly 100,000 visitors and shoppers.

Trade promotion and domestic market development are emphasized. International fairs and exhibitions in the country at national level are organized systematically and professionally, helping to boost on-site exports, promote brands as well as increase foreign investment attraction in Vietnam's industrial and commercial sectors.

The Vietnam National Brand Program 2024 with the theme "Strengthening the Green Era" has recognized 359 products of 190 enterprises as achieving the Vietnam National Brand. With the efforts of enterprises and the support of government agencies, the value of Vietnam's national brand in 2024 for the first time exceeded the 500 billion USD mark, ranking 32/193 countries, up 1 rank and 2% in value compared to 2023 according to the report of the brand valuation organization Brand Finance.

According to the Trade Promotion Agency, the close coordination between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant ministries and sectors such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, etc. has brought about positive synergy and mutual impact among the promotion sectors. Typically, the Fruit Festival organized for the first time by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Beijing (China) has created a great resonance and a very positive effect on the largest fruit import market of our country.

At the same time, trade and investment forums held within the framework of working trips of Party and State leaders have also created high efficiency for trade, investment and tourism promotion activities.

At the conference, guest representatives also exchanged and shared information, connecting with units in the trade promotion network to improve the effectiveness of trade promotion work in the coming time.
