The 2024 Land Law takes effect from January 1, 2025, including 16 chapters and 260 articles regulating the powers and responsibilities of the State, the rights and obligations of citizens regarding land; procedures for land lease, allocation, and use; compensation, support, and resettlement when the State reclaims land... At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, exchanging, and agreeing with the content of the amendments and supplements to the law, reflected in many new points to overcome the shortcomings, shortcomings, and limitations of the 2013 Land Law. At the same time, it is proposed that the drafting agency absorb and arrange the layout of chapters, provisions, and groups of issues appropriately, avoiding duplication before the law is promulgated and put into practice.

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh stated that the 2024 Land Law passed by the National Assembly is one of the country's important legal events. The innovative policies in the content of this law will contribute to the management and economical, sustainable and effective use of land resources to meet the requirements of promoting industrialization and modernization, contributing to social stability, ensuring national defense and security. This is the result of a process of close, thorough and scientific coordination, with the great efforts and determination of the National Assembly, the Government, relevant agencies, organizations, experts, scientific organizations, the business community and people nationwide who have devoted themselves to contributing ideas to complete the draft law, ensuring the practical and effective implementation of land laws in the coming time.
