National online reporter conference May 2024

On the morning of May 16, the Central Propaganda Department held a conference of reporters for May 2024. The conference was held online at 63 locations nationwide.

Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department chaired the conference.

Attending the conference at Lao Cai province were comrades: Duong Duc Huy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of the Propaganda Departments of 9 districts, towns and cities; reporters working at agencies and units of the province.

At the conference, the reporters were informed about the following topics: Important contents of the Law on Identification, the Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level and 5 draft laws chaired by the Ministry of Public Security, consulting and submitting to the National Assembly at the 7th Session, 15th National Assembly; building a synchronous infrastructure to basically turn our country into a modern industrialized country according to Conclusion No. 72-KL/TW dated February 23, 2024 of the Politburo.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Duong Duc Huy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, emphasized a number of issues that reporters need to pay attention to in the coming time, namely: Focusing on propagating the two topics that were received at the conference; doing a good job of ideological work for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, contributing to creating a unified awareness within the Party, consensus in society towards the Party's policies and the State's laws; encouraging cadres, soldiers, civil servants and public employees to continue to carry out well the topic of studying and following Uncle Ho in 2024: "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style of daring to think; daring to speak; daring to do; daring to take responsibility; daring to innovate; daring to face difficulties and challenges; daring to act for the common good".

Continue to coordinate propaganda to successfully implement the tasks of the 2023 - 2024 school year, including: Completing the education program for classes; considering graduation for primary and secondary school students; handing over students to summer activities in localities; continuing to review high school graduation exams for high school students, vocational education centers - continuing education.

Propaganda to celebrate major holidays and important historical events such as: The 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024); the 120th anniversary of the birth of comrade Hoang Dinh Giong (June 1, 1904 - June 1, 2024), a typical senior leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution; the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam (July 21, 1954 - July 21, 2024)... In particular, further strengthen the political activities, study the article of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong: "Proud and confident under the glorious flag of the Party, determined to build an increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic Vietnam"...
