Provincial Veterans Association held a meeting on work in the first quarter of 2025

On behalf of the Provincial Veterans Association, the leaders of the Provincial Veterans Association awarded certificates of merit from the Central Association to collectives and individuals.

In the first quarter, the province admitted 316 new members of the Veterans Association, bringing the total number of members to more than 55,100. The Veterans Association at all levels has effectively implemented the task of participating in building and protecting the Party and government, encouraging and taking care of Tet for cadres and members of the Veterans Association in difficult circumstances, actively helping each other develop the economy and stabilize their lives. From the "War Veterans' Affection" fund, support was given to repair 1 house, worth 10 million VND, and build 6 new houses, worth 80 million VND/house, expected to be completed before May 30, 2025.

Since the beginning of the year, the Association has effectively implemented the policy of borrowing capital entrusted by the Bank for Social Policies; regularly inspecting, supervising and urging members to use loans for the right purposes. The Association currently manages 589 savings and loan groups, with 24,325 borrowing households. The total outstanding loan balance as of February 28, 2025 is VND 1,317.427 billion. The Association has 106 enterprises, attracting 2,504 workers; 39 cooperatives, attracting 841 workers; 23 cooperatives, attracting 329 workers; 2,469 farms, attracting 5,511 workers; 3,106 business households, attracting 6,678 workers, owned by war veterans, creating jobs for more than 15,860 workers with an income of VND 5 - 7 million/person/month.

At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved, pointed out the limitations, and proposed solutions to effectively implement the tasks of the Association in the coming time. In particular, focusing on the following contents: the work of building the Association's organization; promoting the emulation movement "Exemplary war veterans", "War veterans help each other reduce poverty, do good business", emulation to achieve achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the work of eliminating dilapidated houses for members...

On this occasion, authorized by the provincial War Veterans Association, the leaders of the War Veterans Association awarded certificates of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam War Veterans Association to 2 groups and 1 individual, including: War Veterans Association of Tan Hoa ward (Hoa Binh city) with outstanding achievements in building and replicating the model of popularizing, educating, and mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level; War Veterans Association of Luong Son town (Luong Son) with outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign "War Veterans participate in maintaining traffic order and safety and building traffic culture" for the period 2023 - 2025; Comrade Lo Van Tham, Chairman of the War Veterans Association of Mai Chau district with outstanding achievements in studying and following the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh, for the period 2024 - 2025.
