Linking Binh Dinh tourism development and regional railway tourism

The workshop aims to enhance coordination between the railway industry, travel agencies, management agencies and tourist destinations to build tourism products combining rail transport and local resort, culture and culinary experiences.

The workshop was divided into 3 main discussion sessions. Session 1 presented the diverse tourism resources and unique products of Binh Dinh; introduced stimulus programs and preferential policies to attract tourists to the province.

Session 2 is the discussion and comments from delegates representing localities of Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam... and travel businesses sharing experiences in linking to develop railway tourism products. Along with that is the analysis of potential and proposed solutions to optimize the connection between localities.

Session 3 is the business connection section, creating opportunities for exchanges between businesses of Binh Dinh Tourism Association and partners in the region, thereby promoting cooperation, developing new tourism products and exploiting the potential of the railway.

In her opening speech, Ms. Do Thi Dieu Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh, said that in recent years, the Vietnam railway industry has made many efforts to improve service quality, innovate vehicles and expand the connection network to meet the needs of tourists.

In addition to road and air, rail is not only a means of transportation, but also brings special experiences, helping visitors explore the natural beauty, culture and history of the regions in a slow, relaxing and emotional way. This type is very suitable for many tourists, especially international visitors.

To exploit this advantage more effectively, there needs to be close coordination between the railway industry, travel agencies, tourist destinations and state management agencies. We need to build attractive tourism products, combining rail transport with diverse experiential services such as resorts, exploring local culture and cuisine, Ms. Hanh said.

Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu spoke at the workshop.

Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said that Binh Dinh has many bright spots for investment such as cultural tourism, tourism associated with spiritual science, culinary tourism, etc. There are many tourism products but we still need to continue to innovate to have new products and today we are talking about Binh Dinh tourist destination and Quy Nhon brand.

One of the great advantages of Binh Dinh and Quy Nhon is the transportation system, especially the railway. The railway is very safe, attractive and economical, creating many unique tourist experiences. Therefore, Binh Dinh needs to continue investing and modernizing the railway infrastructure, connecting with other modes of transportation to attract tourists.

In particular, it is necessary to continue to innovate and create new, diverse and distinctive tourism products to attract tourists such as: developing cruise ships, products associated with railways, etc. Quy Nhon is considered the center of cultural and political events and an ideal destination for tourists. From there, Quy Nhon is developed into a symbol of green, clean, beautiful and unique tourism, standing out on the national tourism map.

To increase promotion effectiveness, promotional strategies need to be innovated through digital technology platforms, creating differences and attracting tourists. Along with that, combining with influential figures to expand the reach and bring Quy Nhon-Binh Dinh tourism products closer to domestic and international tourists.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang said that how to make tourists stay in Quy Nhon is a problem that provincial leaders are always concerned about, so we have assigned the Department of Culture to coordinate with the Association to organize a tourism workshop to give advice to the province to develop the economy in general and tourism in particular.

For a long time, many localities have said that our development has not been commensurate with our potential and strengths, and that we have not fully exploited the advantages of tourism, but how to exploit them commensurately is a difficult problem. Therefore, we see nothing better than listening to businesses and sharing with businesses to create motivation for development, said comrade Lam Hai Giang.

Currently, businesses operate according to market mechanisms so they must make profits, but sometimes they also need a non-market economy to create a foundation for development. The State will be a bridge for businesses, helping them develop.

"We are truly improving the quality of tourism services with detailed evaluation criteria, and hope that businesses will consider the long term, especially not "live for the moment", because we will not be able to develop sustainably with this approach", the Vice President emphasized.

Many delegates from localities across the country attended the workshop.

Normally, when tourism is not yet developed, local tourism is clean and there is no overcharging, but when it develops to a certain level, if not well controlled, these services will become more negative than before...

Therefore, the government must intervene to control these issues, thereby creating a safe destination for tourists (security and order, traffic safety, food safety, life safety). These are specific criteria that we will implement in the coming time, comrade Lam Hai Giang emphasized.

In the near future, we will coordinate with the Vietnam Railways General Department to conduct more thoughtful and systematic trains to Quy Nhon to improve the best experience for tourists. I suggest that the railway company has a mechanism and policy for travel companies when bringing tourists to Binh Dinh. In particular, it is possible to set aside a car to carry out Binh Dinh culture and cuisine.

Binh Dinh Travel Association signed cooperation agreements with other local Travel Associations and Clubs.

At the workshop, Binh Dinh Tourism Association signed cooperation agreements with travel associations and clubs from all over the country. In addition to the connection between associations and associations, travel and accommodation businesses also signed strategic cooperation agreements to improve service quality and expand and develop the tourism market.

Representatives of participating agencies and businesses expect the event to open up new cooperation opportunities, helping Binh Dinh become an attractive destination and a tourism connection center in the central region.

With a strategic vision, Binh Dinh province aims to welcome a large number of tourists in the coming years, contributing to promoting the rapid and sustainable development of the local socio-economy.
