(kontumtv.vn) – Artificial intelligence (AI) can improve learning productivity by providing smart learning tools, using algorithms to remind users to study, but over-reliance on AI can reduce students' ability to self-study and reflect.
That was the sharing of Master Nguyen Hoang Vinh Khang, Laboratory Engineer of Vietnam-Germany University (VGU) at the international forum "Young Global Leaders on Sustainable Development 2024", organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) on October 25.
According to Dr. Dao Thi Bich Van, a VGU researcher, when applying AI, it is necessary to consider the benefits and risks. AI can assist in finding information and improving the learning process, but it can also violate users' privacy. Therefore, students need to be guided on how to use AI responsibly to avoid abuse and ensure fairness in assessment. Before sharing information, it is necessary to check its accuracy and origin to ensure that it does not spread false information.
Similarly, Master Nguyen Hoang Vinh Khang shared that AI also poses privacy risks and the risk of psychological manipulation, as misinformation can lead to the phenomenon of “AI illusion”. Therefore, AI should be used as a support tool for inspiration, but with caution.
