Taking advantage of its geographical location, land, and abundant labor resources, in recent years, Hoang Hoa district has promoted investment attraction in the industrial and service sectors, making important contributions to socio-economic development and creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers.

Hoang Hoa promotes investment attraction in industrial sector Nam Ich Thai Thang Textile Factory is under construction at Thai Thang Industrial Park.

In May 2024, a textile factory project with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND was started at Thai Thang Industrial Cluster (CCN). The Nam Ich Thai Thang Textile Factory project is invested by South Asia Knitwer Limited, a member of Nam Ich Group (Hong Kong - China); Viet Hung Group Joint Stock Company is the general contractor. The project is planned on an area of 81,972m2, aiming to produce high-quality woolen and garment products to serve the Vietnamese market and export. After the groundbreaking ceremony, the construction atmosphere was urgent at the construction site, the units mobilized vehicles, machines, and human resources to urgently construct the project, striving to complete the factory and put it into operation by January 2025. The project is expected to create stable jobs for over 5,000 workers, contributing to promoting development in the region.

Ms. Le Thi Nuong, a resident near Thai Thang Industrial Park, excitedly said: “This is the first large-scale textile factory invested in the Southeast of Hoang Hoa district. We hope that the factory will soon be put into operation, creating jobs and stable income for workers who are children of communes in the area. That way, it only takes us 5-10 minutes to get to work, and after work, we can go home and still take advantage of the time to take care of housework.”

According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045, Hoang Hoa district has 2 industrial parks (IPs): Phu Quy IP, Bac Hoang Hoa IP and 6 industrial clusters, including: Thai Thang IP, Hoang Dong IP, Hoang Quy IP, Phu Quy IP, Hoang Son IP, Dat Tai IP. Implementing the planning, Hoang Hoa district is focusing on developing zones and industrial clusters to attract investment and develop the economy. Currently, Phu Quy IP has been approved by the competent authority for the construction zoning plan at a scale of 1/2000 as a basis for implementation. Two industrial clusters (Bac Hoang Hoa IP, Thai Thang IP) have been established as industrial clusters and approved for the detailed construction plan at a scale of 1/500.

Taking advantage of geographical location, the planning of industrial zones and clusters in Hoang Hoa district has been carefully surveyed, convenient for traffic connection, human resources, creating favorable conditions to promote production and business activities of enterprises. Immediately after being approved, some industrial zones and clusters have been urgently invested in infrastructure construction, attracting secondary investors to build production and business factories. Up to now, many large investors have invested and sought investment opportunities in the area. Bac Hoang Hoa Industrial Zone has attracted 7 investors (2 foreign investors and 5 domestic investors); Thai Thang Industrial Zone has attracted 2 investors (1 domestic investor and 1 foreign investor).

Industrial and urban development plays an important role in the socio-economic development of Hoang Hoa district in the new period. This is also one of the four key programs set forth by the Resolution of the 27th Hoang Hoa District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, with many major orientations to gradually realize the goal of turning Hoang Hoa into a town before 2030. Implementing that key program, in recent years, the district's industrial production sector has had encouraging changes. In the first 6 months of 2024 alone, the whole district produced and exported about 10 million garment products, 2.5 million leather shoe products; 1.2 million balls of all kinds; the average industrial product output increased by 17% over the same period last year. New industrial zones and industrial clusters in the area are expected to create a breakthrough in the district's industrial sector. The district will continue to call for and attract investment, urge infrastructure investors to speed up investment progress, and implement solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for production and business enterprises.
