Currently, Quang Tri province has 100% of communes, wards, towns and 99.93% of households using the national grid. The total number of customers using electricity as of August 31, 2024 is 218,551 customers. The total commercial electricity output from 2021 to 8 months of 2024 reached 2.94 billion kWh, with an average growth rate of 6.31% in the period of 2021-2024, Quang Tri Power Company (PC Quang Tri) has ensured continuous electricity supply, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province as well as the production and daily needs of the people.

In the first 8 months of 2024, commercial electricity output reached 597.44 million kWh, up 12.24% over the same period last year, completing 69.71% of the annual plan. The average electricity price reached VND 2,120.05/kWh, VND 140.98/kWh higher than the same period and VND 42.05/kWh higher than the annual plan.
The electricity loss rate by commercial electricity is 2.83%, down 0.60% over the same period and 0.35% lower than the annual plan. It is estimated that in 2024, the electricity loss will reach 3.18%, equal to the target assigned by EVNCPC.
The company's customer service business targets from 2021 to present have met and exceeded the plan assigned by EVNCPC. The electricity bill collection rate in 8 months reached 100%, an increase of 0.3% over the same period in 2023; the rate of customers paying non-cash for electricity services with fees reached 100%...
To achieve and exceed production and business targets, ensure safe and reliable electricity supply, and at the same time manage the power grid in a reasonable and scientific manner, PC Quang Tri has synchronously implemented many solutions, quickly approached advances in science and technology, especially effectively applied information technology in operational management such as remote control, monitoring of operating parameters through DSPM, SCADA, OMS, PMIS systems...
The telecommunications infrastructure system is operating stably, and Quang Tri PC has increased the equipment of technology to diagnose risks of incidents such as thermal cameras, flying cameras, online/offline PD systems. In technical management, the unit continues to closely follow and implement well the targets, striving to complete the 2024 plan assigned by EVNCPC.
In addition, the unit maximizes hot electrical repair technology and high-pressure water insulation cleaning to improve the reliability of power supply, meeting the increasing demands of electricity customers. From 2021 to present, PC Quang Tri has successfully completed safety targets, with no occupational accidents or fires.
In order to continuously improve and enhance the electrical infrastructure, ensure increasingly safe and stable power supply, and promptly meet the electricity needs of customers in production and daily life, in recent years, PC Quang Tri has made efforts to mobilize resources to invest in and upgrade the power grid infrastructure.
In 2024, PC Quang Tri carried out 43 major repair projects worth 33 billion VND. In the first 8 months of 2024, 18/43 projects were completed, with a total settlement value of more than 13 billion VND, reaching 42.2% of the annual plan, with the 8-month implementation value reaching over 75% of the plan. It is expected that by December 31, 2024, the unit will complete all 43/43 projects, with the total settlement value estimated at 95% of the annual plan.
In order to ensure safe and stable power supply, PC Quang Tri has developed plans and scenarios to improve response capacity, especially in the context of the approaching storm season; focusing on technical and economic indicators, while reviewing and planning for the following years. Strengthening operational management, regularly checking at high frequency to prevent incidents from occurring on the 110kV grid.
Continue to promote the strengths of information technology, especially in the digital transformation process, promoting the implementation of products that bring practical efficiency. Absolutely ensure safety in all aspects such as labor safety, equipment safety, business safety and information technology safety.
