This flower is so strange, not a green leaf to be seen. On the rough branches, the red cotton flowers bloom like flames on a giant candlestick.

Returning to Ha Giang four years after her first visit to this beautiful land, Ms. Thanh Thao still retains her feelings for each stone and road.
"After graduating, I was caught up in a whirlwind of work and relationships, sometimes my heart was in turmoil.
But this trip to Ha Giang has given me more positive energy. To me, Ha Giang is still as beautiful and majestic as the first time I came. I really like the color of the cotton flowers along the roads in Du Gia (Yen Minh district), Vi Xuyen, this flower brings a peaceful, familiar feeling like the place where I was born," Ms. Thao shared.

Choosing Ha Giang as the place to take his graduation photos, final year photography student Pham Viet Cuong could not help but be impressed by the brilliant flower season this March.
"In the lowlands, I only see one or two cotton trees at the village entrance, but in Ha Giang it's different. I walked along the Gam River and then through Bac Me, Meo Vac, Dong Van. Wherever I went, I saw cotton trees, some in clusters, some in full bloom.
The row of cotton flowers along the Nho Que River is the place that impressed me the most, because the red and orange colors of the flowers stand out against the emerald green water of Nho Que, creating an extremely peaceful and poetic scene," Cuong confided.
