Speaking to Binh Duong Newspaper reporters, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that, based on the instructions of the Central Government and the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on organizing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and summarizing 50 years of Vietnamese Literature and Arts after the country's reunification, this April there will be many very meaningful activities organized. The Organizing Committee of the province's major holidays has made plans and given specific instructions to each department, branch, and unit for implementation.

Accordingly, the commemorative activities are organized into a series of meaningful political , gratitude, cultural and sports events aimed at policy beneficiaries and meritorious people. This is also an opportunity to propagate and educate revolutionary traditions to the people, especially the young generation, and to provide entertainment and recreation activities for all classes of people.

One of the meaningful and practical activities is to organize visits and present gifts to policy beneficiaries and meritorious people. On this occasion, Binh Duong province will also visit officers, soldiers and relatives of martyrs of Hoang Lien Son Battalion 2, Lao Cai province, who reinforced Thu Dau Mot province during the resistance war against the US to save the country; visit officers and soldiers of Phu Loi Battalion 1 during the period of participating in the resistance war against the US to save the country and are currently living in Binh Duong province; visit officers and soldiers of the Thu Dau Mot Special Reconnaissance Team during the resistance war against the US and are currently living in Binh Duong province; visit officers and soldiers of the troops that directly participated in the liberation of Thu Dau Mot province and are currently living in Binh Duong province.

The province also organized delegations to visit Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes, and military generals working and living in the province. Another exciting and bustling activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the North and South reunification is a special art program hosted by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The event will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on April 25, 2025 at the Binh Duong Provincial Administrative Center Park Stage. Along with that is a fireworks display to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Thu Dau Mot Province hosted by the Provincial Military Command. In a series of activities towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, Thu Dau Mot City will also organize an artistic water music program on the Saigon River with the theme: "Green City - Civilized and Modern", coordinating activities to promote the land and people of Binh Duong.
