According to the records, these traces smell like car engine oil. The chemical trail from the above mentioned curve stretches about 300-400 m, located on the roadway for cars traveling towards Lien Khuong. Another smaller trail appears near the intersection of Prenn Pass and the entrance to Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area.
According to some road users, another chemical spill was near the end of Prenn Pass but in the direction from Lien Khuong to Da Lat.
Sand trucks arrived to clean up the chemical spills.
At around 9:30 p.m. the same day, the police of Ward 3, Da Lat City were present to regulate traffic and remind road users to drive slowly to avoid slipping. A small truck carrying sand came to pour on these chemical streaks and sweep them to absorb them.
