Organizing a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day

Accordingly, the national celebration ceremony organized by the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly , the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Ho Chi Minh City, took place from 6:30 a.m. on April 30, 2025 on Le Duan Street and some central streets, broadcast live on channels of Vietnam Television, Ho Chi Minh City Television and local radio and television stations.

The ceremony includes: A 30-minute art program hosted by Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Public Security . After the flag salute, there will be speeches by Party and State leaders; speeches by representatives of veterans and young generations; a military parade and parade, ending with the release of balloons and doves.

In addition to the celebration, Ho Chi Minh City also organizes key activities such as: Incense and flower offering ceremony to commemorate the heroic martyrs taking place at 8:00 a.m. on April 29 at the City Martyrs Cemetery, City Cemetery (Lac Canh), Ben Duoc Memorial Temple, Cu Chi District Martyrs Cemetery, Ho Chi Minh City Policy Cemetery (Cu Chi District), Nga Ba Giong National Historical Site (Hoc Mon District); Incense and flower offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang at the Central level scheduled for the afternoon of April 29 and at the Ho Chi Minh City level at 9:30 a.m. on April 29 at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - City branch, Ton Duc Thang Museum, President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Street.

The 37th Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup Cycling Race with the theme "The Country is One" took place at noon on April 30; fireworks were set off on the evening of April 30.

Ho Chi Minh City also organized activities to pay tribute to families of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the country, veterans, former youth volunteers and forces participating in the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising; summarized 50 years of Ho Chi Minh City literature and art after the country's reunification; inaugurated and started construction projects in various fields; organized and launched a patriotic emulation movement; held a city-level seminar on achievements in 50 years of building, protecting and developing Ho Chi Minh City...

In addition, activities chaired and coordinated by ministries and branches in Ho Chi Minh City during the holiday include: "Peace epic" television bridge at 8:00 p.m. on April 5 at Thong Nhat Hall; outdoor art program "The country is full of joy" at 8:00 p.m. on April 20 at Thong Nhat Hall; national television bridge "Forever the triumphant song" at 8:10 p.m. on April 27 at Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Quang Tri; photo exhibition "Proud of a border strip" starting from April 27; trumpet music performance combined with horseback riding techniques at 8:00 p.m. on April 30 on Nguyen Hue Street and Le Loi Street.
