On the evening of October 19, CAHN Club seemed to have won 1-0 against Hanoi Club in the make-up match of round 4 of V-League 2024 - 2025. However, Pham Tuan Hai's penalty goal in the 90+14 minute caused the police team to lose 2 points. This caused controversy. Because before that, the referee raised a sign to announce 6 minutes of extra time in the second half. However, the actual extra time was up to 104 minutes.
In the post-match press conference, Coach Polking expressed his frustration: "I don't want to talk too much about emotions anymore. But I wonder why the second half only had 6 minutes of extra time but it lasted longer than that. We only made 2 substitutions. This season we have fallen into such situations many times. Now I care about my players. They played well and deserved to win but conceded a goal in the last seconds."
The referee added extra time because the CAHN player wasted time many times. Near the end of the match, the CAHN player committed a foul in the penalty area (elbowed the opponent) and after consulting VAR, the away team Hanoi was awarded a penalty.

Regarding this situation, Coach Le Duc Tuan of Hanoi Club shared: "I have not reviewed the video recording, so the referee's decision needs to be respected. In this match, Hanoi Club played better than the previous two matches but needs to improve in the coming time. We aim to win the championship but have to go through a difficult process, trying each match to aim for the final result."
After this draw, CAHN and Hanoi clubs have not been able to make a breakthrough in the V-League rankings. Coach Polking and his team are ranked 8th with 5 points while Hanoi club has 7 points and is ranked 5th.
