Thùy Linh rises to 26th in the world rankings.

On April 1st, the World Badminton Federation (BWF) announced the latest rankings of badminton players.

Thùy Linh moved up one place on the BWF rankings.

Nguyen Thuy Linh has risen to 26th in the BWF women's singles rankings, up 1 place from her previous achievement. This is not the highest ranking she has ever achieved in her career (20).

After participating in several tournaments in Europe, Thuy Linh returned to Vietnam to continue training at the National Sports Training Center in Bac Ninh, preparing for the 2025 Asian Badminton Championships in April.

Recently, Vietnam's number one female tennis player did not participate in the Vietnam International Challenge 2025 in Hanoi . This move helps Thuy Linh maintain her focus on achieving higher goals this year.

Thùy Linh's teammate, Vũ Thị Trang, is struggling to maintain consistent form. In the latest update, the 32-year-old player has dropped 10 places, to 136th in the world rankings. This is bad news for Vũ Thị Trang, but it also presents an opportunity for her to reassess and adjust her strategy for future tournaments.

In the men's singles rankings, Nguyen Hai Dang has made a significant improvement, rising to 61st in the world, and is also the highest-ranked Vietnamese male player in the BWF.

Another Vietnamese male badminton player, Le Duc Phat, remains ranked 64th in the world. He recently participated in the Vietnam International Challenge 2025 but did not achieve the desired result.
