Barca are suspected of financial fraud to promptly register Olmo and Victor.

The problem stems from the €100 million deal that Barca announced in early 2025. The Camp Nou team announced the completion of the sale of VIP seats at the new stadium on January 3. However, after reviewing Barcelona's interim financial statements, La Liga discovered that no revenue from the sale of VIP seats had been recorded, raising suspicions that the transaction had not actually been completed on time as Barca had announced.

The tournament organizers confirmed: "No revenue from the deal appeared in the financial report, contrary to what was confirmed by the club and the auditor."

La Liga also filed a complaint with the Spanish Institute of Accountants and Auditors, to investigate and request clarification of the responsibilities of the auditing unit working with Barcelona between December 31 and January 3 - a key period related to the controversial financial transaction.

La Liga was forced to re-impose the old salary cap, meaning Barca went over their spending limit to sign Olmo and Victor. If the situation is not resolved, the two players will be free to leave when their temporary contracts expire.
