U.22 Vietnam had two very commendable draws against two other guests of the tournament, U.22 Korea and U.22 Uzbekistan. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh's students brought positive signals when playing confidently and following the tactics well. The U.22 Vietnam squad went to China with not the strongest force, but experienced players in their age group such as captain Nguyen Van Truong (currently playing for Hanoi FC), Vietnamese-American midfielder Viktor Le (Ha Tinh FC) had good performances in the role of regulating the tempo of the match, leading the team's play. In addition, the faces playing in V-League such as Nguyen Duc Anh (Hanoi FC) and Nguyen Hong Phuc (The Cong Viettel) also played calmly and confidently, helping the U.22 Vietnam defense system become more solid.

Interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh shared: "We have prepared carefully and the players have deployed their playing style in a reasonable way. The defense played focused, maintained good team distance, and did not leave many gaps for the opponent to exploit. In attack, the team had some opportunities but could not take advantage of them well. This is something we will continue to improve to achieve higher efficiency in the upcoming matches. Overall, the recent matches were very useful, helping U.22 Vietnam hone their skills when facing strong teams in Asia."

Necessary and sufficient conditions for U.22 Vietnam to win the championship

In the final match of the CFA China Team 2025 tournament, U.22 Vietnam faced host U.22 China. After 2 matches, U.22 China ranked first in the group with 3 points, goal difference 1/1 (goals scored/goals conceded). U.22 Vietnam ranked second with 2 points, goal difference 1/1. U.22 Uzbekistan ranked third with 2 points, goal difference 0/0. U.22 Korea ranked last in the group with 1 point, goal difference 0/1. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team have a chance to be crowned champions if they win against U.22 China, with the additional condition that U.22 Korea does not lose to U.22 Uzbekistan.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh emphasized: "U.22 China is a well-organized, disciplined team that knows how to take advantage of opportunities. The home team drew 0-0 with U.22 Uzbekistan and won 1-0 against U.22 Korea. That shows that U.22 China has real strength and an effective playing style. The U.22 Vietnam coaching staff will carefully analyze U.22 China's playing style to best prepare for the final match. This will certainly be an important match, not only in terms of results but also to help U.22 Vietnam more accurately assess the players' abilities in high-pressure situations."
