Idoojung newspaper (Thailand) advised coach Kiatisuk to leave Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club to return home to conquer bigger goals.

Idoojung newspaper believes that coach Kiatisuk is the most suitable choice to help U23 Thailand aim for a ticket to the 2024 Olympics.
The newspaper commented: "The U23 Thailand team has a very important task in the coming time, which is to compete for a ticket to the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France. If successful, the team will participate in the Olympics for the first time.
Thailand U23 needs a big change to reach this important goal. Coach Kiatisuk is a strong candidate for the team's coach position. He is the right person to lead the "war elephants" in the 2024 Olympic qualifiers.
Coach Kiatisuk is said to be about to leave Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club. This season, the mountain town team is at the bottom of the rankings with no wins after 6 matches in V-League 2023/24".
Besides coach Kiatisuk, Japanese strategist Makoto Tekuramori is considered another bright candidate. He recently left Chonburi Club in the Thai national championship.
The current coach of Thailand U23 is Issara Sritaro. However, he has not achieved significant success with the team. This coach once led Thailand U23 to a defeat in the final of SEA Games 32 against Indonesia U23.
Therefore, the Football Association of Thailand wants a more senior figure to lead the team in the 2024 Olympic qualifiers. In the 2024 AFC U23 Championship (which is also the 2024 Olympic qualifiers), Thailand U23 is in a difficult group with Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Tajikistan.
In the past, Coach Kiatisuk led the Thai national team to extremely successful matches. This team won two AFF Cup championships (2014, 2016), one SEA Games Gold Medal (2013) and won 4th place at the 2014 Asian Cup.
Among the later coaches of the Thai national team, no one has been as successful as "Thai Zico". Only coach Mano Polking is considered successful and has come close to that success.
