According to Marca , President Florentino Perez had a private meeting with the Italian strategist at the Valdebebas training center last week. Here, the conversation took place in a light atmosphere over a cup of coffee. Perez personally reassured Ancelotti that his head coach position was completely secure.
Ancelotti has been linked with a move to coach Brazil at the 2026 World Cup, a prospect he has not denied. Sources have claimed that Ancelotti is open to coaching the Selecao if the timing and conditions are right. This has sparked rumours that Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso will soon replace Ancelotti.
