Without overseas Vietnamese, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club still wins National Championship

Striker Huynh Nhu was the only scorer, helping Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club defeat Thai Nguyen T&T with a score of 1-0. The Vietnamese striker's goal was scored from the penalty spot in the 37th minute.

The match between the two strongest teams of the tournament was intense with an open and attacking game because both sides had famous players from the Vietnamese women's team. They were Huynh Nhu, Chuong Thi Kieu, Tran Thi Thuy Trang or rising star K'Thua of the Ho Chi Minh City women's club. On the Thai Nguyen side were goalkeepers Tran Thi Kim Thanh, Nguyen Thi My Anh, Ngoc Minh Chuyen or Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy.

Despite not having the presence of two overseas Vietnamese Chelsea Le and Ashley Tram Anh, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club was still able to play on equal terms with the rich Thai Nguyen T&T team. However, during the remaining time, the two teams could not convert their chances into goals.

The narrow victory helped Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club win the 2025 Women's National Cup and win the 4th title in this arena since the tournament was held in 2019. Thai Nguyen T&T, despite strong investment and efforts, only finished second for the second time.
