The simulation of Long Bien Bridge on the sun background by author Bui Bao Dat won first prize in the logo design contest for Long Bien district, Hanoi.
On the morning of October 26, Long Bien District Chairman Nguyen Manh Ha presented awards to the contest authors. After 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee received 347 designs, the Jury then evaluated and selected 4 designs.
The highest prize of 150 million VND went to author Bui Bao Dat (residing in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi); the second prize of 50 million VND was awarded to Mr. Tran Thien Quy. The two third prizes worth 25 million VND went to authors Ha Huy Khanh and Bui Bao Dat.

Sharing about the first prize winning work, author Bui Bao Dat said that he came up with the idea and drew it in 7 days. The design takes the image of Long Bien Bridge, which is familiar in the lives of people in the capital as well as the whole country, with the sunlight shining in the background.
The image of the bridge represents movement, the color ranges change over time from dawn to dusk, through the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. The logo message aims at a strong, sustainable connection from the past to the present and the future.
The second prize winning work takes the idea of Long Bien district as the confluence of the Red River and Duong River through the blue border. The district map is symbolized as a bird flying towards the sun, representing prosperity and looking towards the future. The image of a flower bud represents a period of innovation and sustainable development.

Mr. Phan Dang Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Architects, representing the jury, assessed that the four winning designs all met the competition criteria, demonstrating the creativity of the authors. The first prize can be used to represent Long Bien district, introducing to the world a land that is flourishing and developing sustainably in the future.
Long Bien District was established in 2003, with an area of 60.38 km2 and a population of more than 300,000 in 2019. It is located on the left bank of the Red River, connected to the center of the capital via Long Bien, Chuong Duong, and Vinh Tuy bridges.
In recent years, Long Bien district has always maintained a production value growth rate of 15-21% per year. By 2022, the proportion of trade and services will account for 73.4%, industry - construction 26.5%. Average income per capita in 2022 is 86.9 million VND, expected to be 107 million VND in 2025.
Long Bien is the second district of Hanoi to organize a logo design contest, after Hoan Kiem district in 2021.
