Offering incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House on Deo De Pass, Phu Dinh Commune, Dinh Hoa District, officials and members of the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association expressed their respect and gratitude, and reported to him the achievements that Quang Tri journalism has achieved in the past. In front of his spirit, Quang Tri journalists vow to constantly cultivate moral qualities, practice professional skills, and be worthy of being shock troops on the ideological and cultural front in the "fire land" of Quang Tri.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and offered incense at the relic site where the Vietnam Journalists Association was founded in Roong Khoa hamlet, Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district. Here, generations of Quang Tri journalists reviewed the tradition of building and growing up of the Vietnam Journalists Association; visited the relic stele and the Exhibition House of the Vietnam Journalists Association, where relics and photos of important activities of the association's leaders from its founding to the present are kept.

At the same time, the delegation also visited the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School National Historical Site in Tan Thai Commune, Dai Tu District. Here, on April 4, 1949, following the direction of President Ho Chi Minh, the Viet Minh General Department and the Resistance Press Corps established the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School.

Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School was only open for 3 months (from April to July 1949) but it became an unforgettable page in the history of Vietnamese journalism. 42 students after graduating from the first course in the history of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism and the only one in the resistance war against French colonialism went to work at press and propaganda agencies, becoming key writers, making many contributions to the cause of resistance war and national construction and building the Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.

Also in the "return to the source" program, officials and members of the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association visited the historical relics of Tan Trao Communal House and Tan Trao Banyan Tree (Tuyen Quang Province); Vietnam Press Museum (Hanoi City); K15 Wharf - the departure point of the unnumbered train supporting the South to fight against the US to save the country; Nghieng Wharf - where the last French soldier withdrew from the North; Bach Dang Giang National Historical Site... At the same time, they exchanged and shared experiences and journalism skills at the Journalists Associations of Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh provinces and Hai Phong City.

Permanent Vice President of Quang Tri Province Journalists Association Hoang Ngoc Sy said: Organizing the "return to the source" activity towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day has practical significance, contributing to educating the tradition for the generation of cadres and members of Quang Tri Province Journalists Association today.

“On this journey, we visited historical sites of revolutionary journalism to better understand the spirit and enthusiasm of previous generations of journalists, especially Uncle Ho's example of journalism, to continue to learn and follow, thereby fostering a love for the profession, improving ethics, expertise, and professionalism, striving to excellently complete all assigned tasks, and actively contributing to the building of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism in general and Quang Tri journalism in particular,” said Mr. Sy.
