In June 2012, the beautiful love of teacher Bui Thi Giang and sailor Tran Van Thien entered a new beginning with a happy wedding after nearly 3 years of love and understanding. Due to the nature of his job, Mr. Thien often had to work far away, so the young couple at that time wanted to have children soon so that Ms. Giang could have more joy and lessen the loneliness of being away from her husband.
Looking forward to it, but after half a year without any good news, taking advantage of Thien's days off, the couple started looking for traditional Chinese medicine, but after all, the "good news" still did not come. "There was a time when I took too many supplements, my liver enzymes increased, and I had to go to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases for treatment," Giang said.
Feeling sorry for his wife who had to work hard and take so much medicine that it affected her health, in 2013, while going to a company in Hai Phong, Mr. Thien was consulted by a friend and went for a reproductive health check-up. The results of the examination at that time showed that Mr. Thien was infertile, the doctor said the cause could be complications from the mumps that Mr. Thien had when he was a child.
Shocked by the examination results, Ms. Giang and Mr. Thien decided to pack up and go to a central hospital for a re-examination, but the results were still the same: "The couple cannot have children naturally. If they want to have children, they must undergo IVF."

Hearing the amount of money for IVF, Ms. Giang was bewildered. At that time, a contract teacher's salary was only 2 million/month, and her husband had just started working and had no money. So the couple encouraged each other to temporarily stop treatment to focus on making a living. They saved every penny just hoping to have enough money to do IVF to find a child later.
In 2015, after 11 months of waiting for her husband to return from an ocean liner, Giang and her husband returned to their journey to find a child in hospitals large and small. The first time they did IVF, they thought happiness was very close, but after 2 unsuccessful embryo transfers, Giang fell into a state of sadness and anxiety.
Every time she saw a line on the pregnancy test stick, her heart ached with pain and tears welled up in her eyes because her dream of becoming a mother had yet to come true.
No matter how hard she tries, the desire to have a child is so great that it is in contrast to the harsh reality that the infertile woman cannot avoid moments of despair.
On the journey of finding a child after nearly 7 years of infertility, Giang and her husband had to endure many economic difficulties and prejudices from society, but it was the understanding and encouragement of their family members that was the great spiritual strength that helped them confidently continue waiting for the day of "reaping sweet fruit".
In 2017, Ms. Giang accidentally learned about the Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital. She started looking for stories of couples who had been infertile for decades and had successfully welcomed their babies here. Waiting for the summer vacation to come, when her husband had just finished a long train trip and was home on leave, the couple started going to the hospital for check-ups.
With the care and attention of the medical team, especially Dr. Hien, Giang was in high spirits as she began treatment. One month after the examination, Giang began the process of egg stimulation and egg retrieval to create embryos. Thanks to her relaxed spirit and appropriate treatment regimen, Giang and her husband were able to create 9 embryos on day 5.
After the first unsuccessful fresh embryo transfer, Ms. Giang decided to go home to rest and 4 months later returned to the hospital to transfer the frozen embryo. At the end of 2017, Ms. Giang and Mr. Thien's whole family burst into happiness when they heard the doctor announce for the first time that she had successfully transferred the embryo after 2 IVF cycles and 3 previous failed embryo transfers.
On September 10, 2018, the first little princess cried out in the boundless joy of both sides of the family. "It is true that all efforts are rewarded, our daughter came to us like a dream after many months of waiting. My husband named our daughter Tran Cat Thien An with the meaning that our child coming to us is a blessing from heaven after many hardships, hoping that our child will always receive peace and safety", Ms. Giang shared about the meaning of naming her child.
In December 2020, Ms. Giang returned to Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital to transfer the remaining frozen embryos and luckily smiled again, two new "lifes" formed in her body.

Ms. Giang said that during her two pregnancies, her husband was not at home, but he always called every day and did not forget to say he loved her. Just like that, Ms. Giang's pregnancy went smoothly thanks to the dedicated care of her mother-in-law and siblings.
On August 19, 2021, the birth of two princesses Tran Cat Thien Di and Tran Cat Thien An made Giang's family life even more meaningful. Thanks to the perseverance of the couple, the love and talent of the doctors, the tiny embryos like grains of sand turned into "angels" for Giang's family.
