Passengers are excited to experience the luxury train, as nice as a hotel

This evening (October 20), Vietnam Railways Corporation held a launching ceremony for the high-quality train Hanoi - Da Nang SE19/SE20. Speaking with Giao thong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Dang Sy Manh, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railways Corporation, said that the railway has invested in renovating and upgrading the carriages to build the brand of the high-quality train SE19/SE20 with its own identity and increase aesthetics to attract passengers on the Hanoi - Da Nang route.

Vietnam Railways Corporation selects the train attendants (train captains, service staff) who are experienced, have good appearance, skills, communication experience and especially can communicate in English. The uniform model is also designed specifically for this train staff.

The train cars were boarded up and fitted with new bedding.

The train cars are focused on renovating and upgrading equipment that passengers have previously had many comments about, such as: The air conditioning system is designed with an air outlet adjustment button so that passengers can adjust the temperature and wind direction according to their needs; the toilet is equipped with sanitary porcelain equipment; professional cleaning staff is arranged...

On passenger cars, new hot water tanks and ceramic sanitary equipment are installed in the washroom and toilet compartments, creating a clean, luxurious feeling.

For the dining car, the railway has invested in completely renovating the interior of the car so that passengers can comfortably enjoy coffee or meals on the train and admire the natural scenery outside.

Ms. Nguyen Bich Van (Nam Ngu, Hanoi) shared that she often traveled by plane. This trip to Da Nang, she decided to take the train to experience it and was very happy to take the inaugural train. “The train is cleaner and more beautiful than before; the ticket price is reasonable. If the train is more comfortable, the service quality is good, and the hygiene quality is guaranteed, I will choose to take the train in the future,” Ms. Van said.

Two passengers from France said they were very excited to take this train to Hue. Their initial impression was that it was clean and comfortable. They were told that there were many food and beverage services on the train, which they would explore and experience.

Regarding services, to increase convenience for passengers, the railway has deployed a sales app through scanning QR codes on the train. When wanting to order regional products in 34 provinces and cities or on-train products served throughout the journey, passengers can use their smartphones to scan the QR code to access the link of the sales website. Mr. Dang Sy Manh said that in the short term, the railway will keep the current ticket price to attract passengers, so that passengers choose to travel by train, although the travel time is slower than other means of transport, but the experience is interesting and comfortable. In the long term, the railway will replicate this train model to other routes. At the same time, it aims to build a train like a hotel, meeting the customer segment with the need to travel by train; at that time, the train will become a place to rest and live after each sightseeing and traveling trip during the day to move to the next place. The railway also said that, in parallel with the renovation of equipment and service quality, on-train services at Hanoi station and some major stations, from October 20, VIP waiting rooms will be put into operation to serve train passengers. Accordingly, passengers on trains SE19/SE20 and some other high-quality trains will be arranged a waiting room and have their own exit and boarding. Along with that, the services of cars picking up and dropping off passengers at home will also continue to be deployed.
