Tens of thousands of people attended the opening ceremony of Hue Nam Palace Festival.

On August 11, the Hue Nam Temple Festival officially opened at Thien Tien Holy Church (352 Chi Lang, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province).

Dien Hue Nam Festival (also known as Dien Hon Chen Festival) is known as a traditional activity with spiritual cultural elements worshiping the Holy Mother Thien YA Na, held in the third and seventh lunar months every year.

This year, the festival takes place over three days, from August 11 to 13 (July 8 to 10 of the lunar calendar). At Hue Nam temple, there will be a main ceremony, praying for national peace and prosperity; a pilgrimage; welcoming the Holy Mother and the Four Palaces Council to Hai Cat communal house to attend the ceremony at Hai Cat communal house...

On the first day of the Festival, from early morning, many saints, fellow believers, people and tourists from all over the world were present at Thien Tien Holy Church to participate in the ceremony.

After performing the rituals here, the procession with dozens of royal edicts moved to Hue Nam Palace by river.

The procession of the Saint on the Perfume River involves a dragon boat procession, inside of which are placed the Saint Mother's palanquin and the royal decree, along with worship objects such as umbrellas, flags, and fans.

The colorful and vibrant procession of the Saint attracted a large number of followers of the Mother Goddess worship with tens of thousands of people attending.

Next, the Main Ceremony, praying for national peace and prosperity and festival activities at Hai Cat communal house will be held on August 12. The Thanksgiving and closing ceremony will be held on August 13.

Hue Nam Temple Festival is a traditional cultural and spiritual activity, held in March and July (Lunar calendar) every year (July is the father's death anniversary, March is the mother's death anniversary). This is also considered a traditional folk cultural festival with a typical community character of the ancient capital.

The event is one of the main activities at the autumn festival "Hue in Autumn" - Hue Festival 2024. Thereby, contributing to preserving and promoting cultural values ​​and heritage associated with relics.

At the same time, it meets the spiritual needs of the community practicing the worship of the Three Palaces - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.
