According to the Seoul Shinmun on November 11, after the National Assembly passes the 2025 budget, the Presidential Office will begin reorganizing its personnel work.
Presidential Chief of Staff Jeong Jin Seok, who is directly responsible for personnel reform, said he will soon review the candidates' personnel records and speed up the verification of information.
Previously, on November 7, at the end of his first half term, President Yoon Seok Yeol announced that he would consider personnel reforms.
The scope of the personnel reorganization is expected to include both the Presidential Office and the Cabinet. For the Cabinet, long-serving ministers may be replaced.
Accordingly, the personnel likely to be under consideration include Minister of Administration and Security Lee Sang Min; Deputy Prime Minister in charge of social affairs and Minister of Education Lee Ju-ho; and Minister of Health Cho Gyu Hong.
