Overseas Vietnamese in Thailand accompany the country in the new era

In the joyful atmosphere of the country in a year with many activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the nation, on the evening of March 30, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen, Kingdom of Thailand, solemnly organized the Homeland Spring 2025 program with the theme "Overseas Vietnamese accompanying the country in the new era".

According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Thailand, the program was attended by Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh, President of the Thai-Vietnamese Friendship Association Sanan Angubolkul, leaders of the Association of Vietnamese People in Thailand (General Association), the Association of Vietnamese Thais in localities, the Thai-Vietnamese Business Association, representatives of the authorities of the northeastern provinces of Thailand, the Consulate General of several countries in Khon Kaen, staff of the Consulate General and their families. Hundreds of overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese people working, studying and living in the northeastern provinces of Thailand also participated in the event.

Speaking at the program, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh excitedly reported to the people the proud results that Vietnam has achieved in 2024. Reiterating the consistent policy of the Party and State of Vietnam to consider the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseparable part and an important resource of the Vietnamese nation, Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized the wish that overseas Vietnamese people continue to accompany and join hands with the people of the whole country to strive for an era of strong and prosperous national development.

Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh said that 2025 is a year with many important anniversaries of the country such as the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)... He expressed his hope that overseas Vietnamese will support and actively respond to the organization of activities on these anniversaries.

Attending the program, Mr. Siriwat Pinijpanic, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Province, expressed his joy and honor to attend the Homeland Spring 2025 program organized by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen. He highly appreciated the role and contribution of overseas Vietnamese to the development of the locality; at the same time, it is a bridge contributing to fostering the increasingly strong relationship between Thailand and Vietnam.

Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese People in Thailand (General Association) Nguyen Ngoc Thin, on behalf of overseas Vietnamese, congratulated the new Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh and his wife on their new assignments at the Consulate General in Khon Kaen. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thin called on the people to continue to unite and build the Vietnamese community in Thailand to grow, with a prosperous economy, a prosperous life and a focus on the homeland and the country.

In a joyful atmosphere, the Consul General, overseas Vietnamese and distinguished guests raised their glasses to wish Vietnam to always develop strongly, and the relationship between Vietnam and Thailand to be forever strong and developed. Overseas Vietnamese happily attended the reception, participated in the traditional Ao Dai performance with the wife of Consul General Nguyen Hoang Anh and enjoyed the performances praising the homeland and country performed by artists from Vietnam.
