Tuyen Quang Customs strives to complete budget collection

Tuyen Quang Customs Branch flexibly implements measures to support businesses.

In 2024, Tuyen Quang Customs Branch was assigned by the Government, Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, and Ha Giang Provincial Customs Department to collect import and export taxes of 62 billion VND. To complete the assigned target, from the beginning of the year, Tuyen Quang Customs Branch has continuously reformed, simplified administrative procedures, and digitized customs procedures. In particular, the unit has cut and simplified unnecessary and unreasonable administrative procedures that are barriers and cause difficulties for business activities of enterprises and people.

Comrade Khong Manh Cuong, Head of Tuyen Quang Customs Branch, said that determining that the economic situation is still difficult, affecting the production and business activities of enterprises, especially import-export enterprises, the unit has proactively and seriously implemented customs management work, supporting and facilitating enterprises.

The Department focuses on the main groups of solutions: attracting new businesses, reforming administrative procedures and modernizing state budget collection; performing well tax refunds; post-clearance control, and anti-smuggling control. The unit assigns staff to work directly with businesses to promote and introduce information technology modernization and reform, analyze the advantages and conveniences when carrying out customs procedures at the unit, and commits to ensuring the most convenient customs clearance for businesses...

Accumulated in the first 9 months of 2024, the total budget revenue in the province from import-export activities reached 41.6 billion VND, reaching 67.17% of the plan assigned by the superiors; the Department carried out customs clearance procedures for 5,833 declarations (an increase of 697 declarations compared to the same period in 2023); import-export turnover reached nearly 149 million USD; to date, there has been no tax arrears.

In the third quarter of 2024, 19 enterprises participated in import-export activities and carried out customs procedures at the Sub-Department; import-export turnover reached 65.261 million USD (up 29.47% compared to the second quarter). Companies such as: Seshin VN2 LLC, MSA-YB LLC, My Lam Tea Joint Stock Company, Woodlands Company... participated in import-export activities and carried out customs procedures regularly at the Sub-Department.

In addition to solutions to increase State budget revenue, Tuyen Quang Customs Branch continues to resolutely and effectively implement solutions to prevent tax loss through strengthening inspection and strict supervision of import and export goods, preventing fraud, especially in declaring goods names, quantities, codes, values, and tax rates. From now until the end of the year, the Branch will proactively review and evaluate revenue sources and import and export activities of enterprises, and propose effective budget collection solutions to achieve the highest collection results.
