Hanoi is one of the top five destinations for food lovers with "famous delicacies", according to Booking.
"Hanoi is a culinary paradise with famous delicacies, promising to bring unique dining experiences," Booking commented when announcing 5 destinations considered "precious gems" of Asia-Pacific cuisine on August 17.
Vietnam's capital is mentioned first in the list including Seoul (South Korea), Tokyo (Japan), Singapore and Kaohsiung (Taiwan island).
Hanoi is not only famous for its street food, but also has three Michelin-starred restaurants: Gia, Hibana by Koki and Tam Vi. "Come to Gia for a contemporary Vietnamese menu that changes with the seasons, Hibana by Koki for Japanese cuisine and Tam Vi for traditional Northern dishes, simple but delicious," said a representative of the Netherlands-based booking application.
