The ceremony was especially attended by athletes and referees who devoted their passion and enthusiasm to the success of the 2nd Steps on the Clouds Mountain Climbing Tournament – ​​Conquering Ta Xua Peak.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Vu Hoai Nam - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper said: “With the support of Tram Tau District People's Committee, agencies and departments, Vietnam Law Newspaper has successfully organized the Stepping on the Clouds Mountain Climbing Competition twice. The first time, the athletes conquered Ta Chi Nhu peak, and the second time, they conquered Ta Xua peak. I personally did not think that the Competition would bring so many emotions, impressions, and feelings. Those emotions were not only for the organizers of the Competition like us, but those emotions have spread to readers and the people of Tram Tau.

Dr. Vu Hoai Nam said that last night, when he arrived at Tram Tau, he received many comments from the local people about the mountain climbing competition. From the district leaders to the people of Tram Tau, everyone admired the positive effects that the Mountain Climbing Competition has brought to Tram Tau, especially in the field of tourism.

“This is not only our joy, but also the joy of those who organized and participated in this tournament,” said Dr. Vu Hoai Nam.

“Two seasons have passed, the athletes’ achievements are very proud. What is even more valuable is safety - I am very grateful to the locality and people who have joined hands to support us to achieve this success. People who work as motorbike taxi drivers and support tourism have very high incomes.

“Most importantly, the Mountain Climbing Tournament has helped Tram Tau get its name on the tourism map. In the summary report of the Walking on the Clouds Mountain Climbing Tournament to conquer Ta Xua Peak, Mr. Khang A Chua - Vice Chairman of Tram Tau District People's Committee - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee - affirmed the success of the Tournament.

“After 2 hours and 15 minutes, the athletes of the Yen Bai Provincial Journalists Association reached the finish line with an amazing achievement. I witnessed it myself and I recognized the efforts of the journalists and athletes. The athletes who won the prize really “ran” up the mountain with extraordinary efforts.”

In addition to the athletes' achievements, Mr. Khang A Chua also said that the Organizing Committee of the Mountain Climbing Tournament not only organized the competition, but also did many things for Tram Tau, which were very meaningful activities towards the change of Tram Tau people. Such as giving water filters to schools, organizing a 0 VND market for people, giving 15 bicycles worth 40 million VND, 2.5 tons of rice worth 50 million VND, 0.5 tons of fabric to the District People's Committee... The total value of the activities was more than 1 billion VND.

“It can be said that the 2nd Mountain Climbing Tournament – ​​Conquering Ta Xua Peak not only brings experiences, joys, and prizes to athletes, creating a playground for journalists who love to explore and exercise, the organizing committee has given extremely meaningful and practical gifts to students with difficult circumstances but with the will to excel in their studies. With the desire to contribute a part to share the difficulties of the students and their families as well as to help them try harder and strive more in their studies; The gifts from sponsors to the people of Tram Tau district. This is a noble and humane gesture of the organizing committee of the tournament.” – Mr. Khang A Chua said.

Mr. Khang A Chua also admitted that although this Tournament had some problems that needed to be overcome, the Organizing Committee had tried their best.

At today's closing ceremony, referee Vu Hoang Phuong, on behalf of the referee team, acknowledged that the vast majority of athletes had competed with all their might, complied with the tournament rules, and achieved remarkable results.

However, he said that there were also some athletes who did not follow the rules. And the referee decided not to recognize some athletes who violated the rules. He suggested that if athletes discovered any violations, they could send complaints to the Organizing Committee within 3 days from today.

Referee Vu Hoang Phuong officially announced the specific results recorded at the Tournament as follows: For male athletes: athlete Trinh Hoai Yen - First Prize; athlete Tran Quang Phat - Second Prize; athlete Pham Tien Minh - Third Prize.

Athletes Trinh Viet Cuong, Pham Minh Thanh, Bui Viet Anh - won Encouragement prizes.

For women: athlete Tran Thu Trang - First Prize; athlete Phan Thi Hong Anh - Second Prize, athlete Doan Phuong Nam - Third Prize.

Athletes won consolation prizes: Tran Thi Phuong, Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy.

The second prize winners received trophies, gifts worth 35 million VND (including 15 million VND in cash and 1 diamond worth 20 million VND) from the Organizing Committee and gifts from Vietnam Joint Stock Corporation - each gift in kind worth 10 million VND. (The company also sent gifts to the athletes participating in the mountain climbing competition.)

The second prize winners received a gift of 25 million VND from the organizers and a gift from the representative of Vietnam Organic Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company - the gift is a physical item worth 10 million VND. (The company also has gifts for all the athletes who participated in the tournament.)

Third Prize athletes received a gift of 20 million VND from the organizers and a gift from Viettel branch in Yen Bai.

The consolation prize received a gift of 5 million VND from the Organizing Committee and a gift of 2 million VND from CEO Do Thi Loan Phuong - Dai Phu An Company.

After receiving the gift from the Organizing Committee, expressing her emotion at winning the Women's Championship twice in the Mountaineering Tournament, athlete Tran Thu Trang expressed her gratitude to the people of Tram Tau, the organizing committee, and especially the Vietnam Law Newspaper for coordinating to organize the tournament so successfully. Athlete Tran Thu Trang asked the organizing committee to auction the artificial diamond to get the money to give back to the people of Tram Tau.

At today's Award Ceremony, the People's Committee of Tram Tau district commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements contributing to the success of the 2025 Stepping on the Clouds Mountain Climbing Competition - Conquering Ta Xua Peak.

In recognition of the support of the Sponsors for the success of the Tournament, the Organizing Committee also presented gifts and flowers to thank the sponsors for the Tournament; and small gifts to acknowledge the silent contributions to the tournament of individuals from the People's Committee of Tram Tau District, Cuong Hai Cooperative, and reporters of the Vietnam Law Newspaper.

During the Closing Ceremony, the athletes were overwhelmed with joy and received commemorative medals awarded by the Organizing Committee for conquering Ta Xua peak.

The organizing committee successfully auctioned the diamond, the prize of the first prize for women, presented by athlete Tran Thu Trang, with the hope that the auction proceeds would be donated to the people of Tram Tau. The winning bidder was VNpharma, with the recorded price being 45,000,000 VND.

On April 11-13, 2025 - Tram Tau District People's Committee; Vietnam Law Newspaper, Hung Viet Trade and Tourism Company Limited co-organized the opening ceremony of the 2nd "Steps on the Clouds" Mountain Climbing Tournament, Conquering Ta Xua Peak in Tram Tau District in 2025. The mountain climbing tournament gathered 100 journalists from press agencies across the country to participate. The tournament aims to help journalists practice, improve community health; develop the sports movement in general, and the adventure mountain climbing sports movement in particular.

Through the mountain climbing competition, the aim is to promote the beautiful image and unique tourist attractions of Tram Tau to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists; attract organizations, businesses and individuals to invest and participate in service and tourism business activities in the district.
