Hanoi exceeds the target of advanced new rural communes in the 2021-2025 period

Nearly 60% of communes reach the advanced level

After reaching the new rural finish line in 2017, the Party Committee and government of Tan Tien commune (Chuong My district) continued to promote information, propaganda, and raise awareness among all classes of people, especially in maintaining and improving the achieved new rural criteria.

“The Party Committee of the commune established a Subcommittee for new rural construction in the villages; proactively and actively coordinated with political and social organizations to participate in investment supervision to improve the effectiveness of advanced new rural construction…” - Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Tan Tien Commune People's Committee Vu Cong Nam said.

From 2018 to present, Tan Tien commune has received attention from Hanoi City and Chuong My district for investment in synchronously upgrading rural infrastructure, especially the electricity - road - school - station system. As a result, the commune has achieved 19/19 criteria according to the set of criteria for advanced new rural communes in the period 2021 - 2025.

Similarly, in Tan Dan commune (Soc Son district), the New Rural Construction Subcommittee was established in 11 villages; proactively and actively coordinated with socio-political organizations in mobilizing the participation of all classes of people; participated in investment supervision to improve the effectiveness of advanced new rural construction...

Chairman of Tan Dan Commune People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh said that with the joint efforts and consensus of all classes of people, the locality has so far achieved 19/19 criteria according to the set of criteria for advanced new rural communes in the period 2021 - 2025. During the process of building new rural areas, the commune has not had any outstanding debts in basic construction. In particular, people are satisfied with the results of building new rural areas with the rate of voting for evaluation reaching nearly 98%.

In early March 2025, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision recognizing Tan Tien and Tan Dan communes as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024. These are also two of the 38 communes reaching the finish line in 12 districts: Chuong My, My Duc, Thuong Tin, Ung Hoa, Phu Xuyen, Dong Anh, Phuc Tho, Ba Vi, Soc Son, Quoc Oai, Thach That and Thanh Oai.

New rural areas contribute to creating positive changes in people's lives in Hanoi.

Improve people's enjoyment

With 38 more communes meeting the standards, to date, Hanoi has issued a decision to recognize 229/382 communes as having completed the construction of advanced new rural areas (accounting for 59.9% of the total number of communes). This result exceeds 73 communes compared to the target of Program No. 04-CTr/TU of the 17th Hanoi Party Committee for the period 2021 - 2025.

Party cell secretary and head of Mon Tu village (Tan Dan commune, Soc Son district) Duong Van Son said that rural infrastructure is increasingly improved. Villagers are happy and excited because their material and spiritual life has been greatly improved.

Meanwhile, Head of My Thuong village (Thanh Mai commune, Thanh Oai district) Nguyen Minh Tan shared that the movement to build new rural areas has gone deep into the awareness of responsibility of each person, when everyone, every household considers upgrading village roads and alleys as family work, for future generations.

According to Ngo Van Ngon, Deputy Chief of Office of the Hanoi New Rural Development Program Coordination Office, the most important thing is that the results of new rural development receive the support of the people and contribute to continuing to improve the lives of local people.

“Through monitoring, people in the communes highly appreciated the results of building advanced new rural areas, through the consensus rate when taking votes according to the instructions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This shows that advanced new rural areas have clearly appeared in the localities…” - Mr. Ngo Van Ngon added.

Emphasizing that building a new countryside is a journey that has no end but is constantly innovating and developing, Ngo Van Ngon, Deputy Chief of Office in charge of the Office for Coordinating the Hanoi New Rural Development Program, suggested that communes that have met the advanced new rural standards should continue to maintain and improve the achieved criteria, striving to bring the locality to the finish line of a model new rural area. The important thing is to continuously improve the people's enjoyment.

Among the 38 communes in 12 districts recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as meeting advanced new rural standards this time, Soc Son district has 7 communes: Dong Xuan, Hong Ky, Hien Ninh, Minh Phu, Tan Dan, Tan Minh, Thanh Xuan. Chuong My district has 5 communes: Huu Van, Ngoc Hoa, Tan Tien, Thanh Binh, Thuong Vuc. Ung Hoa district has 4 communes: Dai Cuong, Kim Duong, Minh Duc, Phuong Tu. Dong Anh district has 3 communes: Dai Mach, Hai Boi, Thuy Lam. My Duc district has 3 communes: Hop Tien, Hop Thanh, Thuong Lam. Phu Xuyen district has 3 communes: Chau Can, Hong Thai, Phu Tuc. Thach That district has 2 communes: Lai Thuong, Phung Xa. Quoc Oai district has 3 communes: Can Huu, Ngoc Liep, Phu Man. Thuong Tin district has 3 communes: Le Loi, Tan Minh, Tien Phong. Phuc Tho district has 2 communes: Phung Thuong, Tam Hiep. Thanh Oai district has 2 communes: Binh Minh, Thanh Mai. Ba Vi district has Co Do commune.
