Musician Lu Nhat Vu's family said he breathed his last at 9:30 a.m. on March 29 at People's Hospital 115, at the age of 90. The same evening, at 7 p.m., the funeral service will be held, then the body will be moved to the Southern National Funeral Home (5 Pham Ngu Lao, Ward 2, Go Vap District). The funeral will be held at 6 a.m. on April 2.
His passing has left many people in mourning. After more than 7 months of treatment at the Poison Control Room of People's Hospital 115, he was cared for and treated by a team of dedicated doctors and nurses, but he did not survive.
Not long ago, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, visited musician Lu Nhat Vu who is being treated at Hospital 115. And on March 27, a delegation of officials from the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee visited musician Lu Nhat Vu.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, presented more than 260 million VND supported by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for artists with many contributions to the field of culture and arts to the musician's family.

His passing left much regret in the literary and artistic community, because all of them appreciated his great contributions to the revolutionary cause and the country's literary and artistic career.
He left behind many famous compositions such as: "Afternoon on the Meo village", "Saigon girl carrying ammunition", "Please rest assured, mother", "Song of the Southern land"...
The news of his death has been shared by musicians and singers in Ho Chi Minh City, especially encouraging poet Le Giang because she was so heartbroken by this great loss.
