Google commits to supporting Ho Chi Minh City in digital transformation of education

On the morning of August 9, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc had a working session with Mr. Paul Hutchings, General Director in charge of Australia, New Zealand and new markets of Google for Education.

Vice President Duong Anh Duc received a letter of commitment from Google to support digital transformation in the education sector of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Paul Hutchings said that after more than two years of research with the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences on the suitability of the Google for Education solution, he found that teachers and students in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Can Tho have experienced many benefits of digital transformation in education. On this occasion, the representative of Google for Education made many official commitments to Ho Chi Minh City and introduced AI Education Company, an authorized partner in Vietnam to implement joint action programs, including: Consulting and supporting the implementation of free Workspace for Education, training personnel on system management of Workspace for Education services, Building and implementing a training plan for IT administrators by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, building and implementing a training plan for "Digital skills pioneer teachers" to achieve "Google Teacher" (Google Educator) certificates, providing international standard training programs of Google...

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc welcomed the efforts of Google for Education that have been implemented in the past time in Ho Chi Minh City and hoped that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training would build a long-term, detailed and specific cooperation strategy with Google to bring practical benefits to students and teachers in Ho Chi Minh City.
