The project will be implemented from July 2025, marking a new step in the journey of digital transformation and improving the passenger experience of the National Airline. In the first phase, the service will be installed on 10 Airbus A350 aircraft, a modern aircraft line operating long-haul routes to the US, Europe and some domestic routes.
It is expected that from 2026, Vietnam Airlines will expand IFC deployment across its entire wide-body fleet, providing a seamless connection experience for millions of passengers each year.

Previously, in 2024, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, agreeing on the roadmap for implementing IFC services on international and domestic flights, including completing legal procedures, installing equipment, configuring software and supporting operations. With advanced aviation connectivity technology, Vietnam Airlines' in-flight Internet service can reach speeds of up to 60Mbps, meeting the needs of passengers for work, entertainment and connectivity throughout their journey.
The cooperation between two large enterprises in the fields of aviation and telecommunications not only contributes to realizing the goal of improving customer experience but is also a practical action to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Central Committee on promoting the application of digital technology, developing the digital economy and digital society, which clearly defines the role of key enterprises in leading the national digital transformation process.
