
The Southern Women's Museum was formerly the Southern Women's Traditional House, established by the Southern Women's History Research Group on April 29, 1985. The members worked hard to mobilize and donate documents, images, artifacts and funds to build a common house - the Southern Women's Traditional House, which later developed into the Southern Women's Museum. In 2024, the Museum was considered and recognized as a Grade I Museum by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The topic "40-year journey - Stories from artifacts" introduces meaningful documents and artifacts about the revolutionary struggle movement through the two resistance wars against France and the US of Southern women in particular and Vietnamese women in general.


Through the artifacts, viewers can partly understand the struggle of aunts, mothers, and sisters during the resistance war against the US, such as: political struggle, military movement of Southern women; armed struggle of Southern women; Southern women in diplomatic work; struggle of female political prisoners in colonial and imperialist prisons in the South...
