Students help their parents prepare for Tet, and going out with their families is also Tet homework. That is how many schools assign homework to students during this year's traditional Tet holiday.

"This Tet, my teacher gave me homework such as helping my family clean the house to welcome Tet; rearranging my wardrobe and study corner; helping my family arrange fruits to offer to our ancestors...", Le Hoang Diep Chi - a student in class 4/1, Dinh Bo Linh Primary School, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City - shared.
The exercise is just a picture, a few seconds clip.
For those exercises, students just need to send pictures or clips to the teacher or share them on the class link.
"Doing these exercises is very simple. Every year during Tet, my family has a collection of pictures and clips. I just need to upload them to my class's padlet link and the exercises are complete. Doing exercises like this is both fun and... like not doing any exercises," Diep Chi happily added.
In class, teachers and students also have many activities to deepen the cultural traditions of the traditional Tet of the nation. In the photo are students of class 4/1, Dinh Bo Linh Primary School, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City - Photo: MY DUNG
Tet exercises like the above are available in many schools in Ho Chi Minh City, in the context of applying information technology to learning and the 4.0 era.
Dan Anh, a student in grade 4/1 at Luong Dinh Cua Primary School, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, said that her class was also given a paper file called "Tet Diary" by the teacher.
This "Tet Diary" file has pre-printed questions and funny pictures... students can complete it anytime with simple answers, drawings, coloring...
Exercises to make interesting games
Talking about giving students interesting Tet homework, Ms. Bui Thanh Thao - homeroom teacher of class 4/1, Dinh Bo Linh Primary School, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City - confided:
Tet is the time for students to gather with their families and relatives, so the homework must be light, suitable for the times, and suitable for Tet culture. It should be called homework, but students only need to mark the sheet and send pictures and short clips to the teacher and it is done.

"When family activities become homework and are graded by the teacher, it will make children pay more attention, showing their attitude and responsibility in the family. They will better understand the noble meanings of the traditional Tet culture of the nation.
With that purpose, I turned these exercises into games, into photography experiences for the students... Just like that, not only did the students like it, but so did their parents" - Ms. Thanh Thao shared.

Similarly, Mr. Chau Hien Duc - head of the 4th grade subject group at Luong Dinh Cua Primary School, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City - said that the Tet exercises he assigned to students were not homework, but rather were about the students' fun Tet activities.
"The theme "Welcome New Year" is an experiential activity carried out from January to February by primary school students, including Tet holiday, so I created teaching activities suitable for students.
Students can choose many ways. For example, they can draw or take pictures and paste them into a notebook. When they come to class at the beginning of the new year, they can show off to their friends about the colorful notebook with their experiences during Tet with their family and relatives. This is an activity to enhance the meaning of Tet for students," emphasized teacher Chau Hien Duc.
Going to the Tet market also… becomes homework.
Going to the Tet market with questions like "How much money did you bring today? How much did you buy? How much money do you have left?" was included in this Tet experience exercise of students in grade 4/1 of Luong Dinh Cua Primary School, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to teacher Chau Hien Duc, students can choose to do this Tet exercise because 4th graders are learning addition, subtraction, and multiplication, or they can choose a game to find words related to Tet.
