Taking place at Truong Dinh High School, this consultation session will conclude the 2025 Exam Season Consultation program series. This is a special school that has been closely associated with Thanh Nien Newspaper in the Exam Season Consultation journey for many years.
Sharing with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Master Nguyen Thanh Hai, Principal of Truong Dinh High School, said: "This year is the 10th time Thanh Nien Newspaper's Exam Season Consulting program has been organized at Truong Dinh High School. Every year, at this time, teachers and students of the school eagerly await the day the consulting program takes place."
Affirming the specialness of the program, Master Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized: "The Thanh Nien Newspaper's Exam Consulting Program is usually organized on a province-wide scale, but with Truong Dinh High School, the program continuously takes place every year at one location, for students from neighboring schools. Taking place at the time when the school celebrates its 70th anniversary, the event has even more special meaning."
The consultants also have special affection for the teachers and students of Truong Dinh High School. Dr. Pham Tan Ha, Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University), shared: "This is the place that the team of university consultants wishes to visit every year. The reason is not only because many students of this school have a special interest in universities, but also because of the studious spirit of the students here, shown through the way they care and ask questions in the consulting program."
Experts participating in the consulting program include: Dr. Pham Tan Ha, Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University); Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry; Dr. Huynh Pham Dung Phat, Deputy Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education; Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat, Director of the Center for Distance Learning and Technology Transfer of Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking; Dr. Nguyen Van Kha, Deputy Director of the Center for Admissions and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade; Dr. Phan Thi Cam Giang, Head of Psychology Department of Saigon International University; MSc. Hoang Thanh Tu, Deputy Head of Information and Communications Department, University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University); MSc. HOTTEST INFORMATION ABOUT EXAM AND ADMISSION
Taking place right after the conference on high school graduation exams of the Ministry of Education and Training yesterday (March 28) and 1 day before the first round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam (March 30), the consultation session became even more special in terms of information content. Master Nguyen Thanh Hai said: "In the context of this year's special enrollment, the first batch of students under the 2018 General Education program graduated from high school, plus new points in the graduation exam and university-college admission, the Exam Season Consulting program becomes even more necessary."
The principal of Truong Dinh High School said that the program helps students and parents better understand career guidance and admissions. From this program, many students have "enlightened" and chosen the right and more decisive path for themselves instead of being confused or hesitant in choosing a major or choosing a school to apply for.
"There are parents who have to exclaim, "Why have I had to choose a major for my child for so many years when this should have been my child's job?". The program helps to significantly reduce the phenomenon of students choosing schools based on their parents' wishes, not because of their passion for the career and whether it suits their interests or aspirations. From there, it significantly limits the waste of money and time when many students have to drop out of school because they choose an unsuitable school or major," Master Hai added.

The principal of Truong Dinh High School acknowledged that, coming to the program, the leaders and teachers of high schools also have a better understanding of career guidance and enrollment. "From there, teachers can promptly advise students when needed and give decisive suggestions. Because teachers are the closest people to students at school to promptly support them in career guidance and enrollment," Mr. Hai shared.
In the program, university and college admissions experts will give notes on new points in this year's exams and admissions regarding the admission regulations and high school graduation exam guidelines recently issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. In particular, school representatives will officially inform about the school's admission methods, emphasizing some important adjustments related to the combination of subjects for admission, the conversion of scores between methods, and the way to register for admission this year.
Tomorrow (March 30), it is expected that nearly 128,000 candidates will take the first round of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University. The exam, which is used by about 100 universities and colleges for admission, also has major changes in the exam structure. In the consultation program, teachers will have useful advice for candidates about this exam.
In addition, some universities also organize their own exams for admission such as: the specialized competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, the computer-based university entrance assessment exam (V-SAT) organized by the University of Finance and Marketing and the University of Banking, Ho Chi Minh City... Experts also share additional information to note about these exams.
