Social opinion collaborators meeting, quarter III/2024

This morning, October 3, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held a meeting for social opinion collaborators in the third quarter and deployed tasks for the fourth quarter of 2024. At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department informed about recent events of public interest regarding the international, domestic and local situations. Notably, public opinion expressed respect, sorrow and loss at the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong through many specific actions. The 13th Party Central Committee met to introduce personnel and elected Politburo member and President To Lam to hold the position of General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee. Public opinion agreed with the Government's salary reform and many new policies taking effect from August 2024, positively impacting people's lives.

People in the province are interested in and expect that the early completion of Quang Tri Airport will contribute to promoting local socio-economic development; highly appreciate the success of the 2024 Peace Festival. They are excited about the event that Dong Ha City was recognized as a class II urban area; Vinh Linh and Trieu Phong districts achieved new rural district standards. People enthusiastically donated cash and goods to support people in the North who suffered serious damage due to Typhoon Yagi.

Public opinion is interested in and highly appreciates the provincial leaders' active implementation of solutions to attract investment to develop socio-economy, create jobs for people, and increase local budget revenue...

In the third quarter of 2024, DLXH collaborators proactively grasped and objectively and honestly reflected the opinions of cadres, party members, and people on various areas of socio-economic life by locality, industry, and sector. There were 77 periodic reports, 26 quick reports, 37 quick news received from collaborators and coordinated processing.

At the conference, delegates focused on reflecting issues of public concern such as: strict control and timely prevention of foot-and-mouth disease in buffaloes and cows; more effective solutions to speed up disbursement progress, ensuring effective implementation of poverty reduction goals in Gio Linh, Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts; site clearance for Cam Lo - Van Ninh expressway and ensuring construction of overpasses to avoid the expressway; the situation of illegal drug trading, use and storage is becoming increasingly complicated in border communes of Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts...

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam requested the team of DLXH collaborators to continue to strengthen their grasp of public opinion, promptly advise the Party Committee and the government to effectively resolve cases and matters in accordance with legal regulations. Continuously improve the quality of DLXH orientation to ensure compliance with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; strengthen the fight against and effectively refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints, contributing to stabilizing people's ideology.

Focus on informing, propagating, grasping and orienting public opinion on Directive 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; activities in response to National Digital Transformation Day 2024. Monitor, grasp, explain and orient public opinion related to a number of major projects in the province; natural disaster situation; prominent, complicated and sensitive issues in the area.
