Mr. Tuan affirmed that the province will resolve the issue of unpaid wages for workers. "The school cannot stop operating, it must continue to exist. The province's goal is to build this school into a regional standard school," Mr. Tuan said, adding that in the face of existing problems, the Provincial People's Committee recently reported to the Party Committee, continuing to ask for opinions on temporarily suspending the school's deductions for the two years 2024 - 2025. In addition, the province has just granted 1.239 billion VND to Quang Nam Medical College to help the school resolve salaries for staff and lecturers.

In addition, the province also requested the school to hold meetings, consolidate the apparatus, and streamline it to suit the school's development in the coming time.

As reported by VTC News, on December 14, 17 staff and lecturers working at the Nursing Department and the Basic Health Department of Quang Nam Medical College announced that they would stop working from December 18.

The reason for the collective decision to stop working is because the school has not paid their salaries and allowances for 6 months (from July 2023 to present). The Nursing and Basic Health Departments met and agreed to stop working until the school resolved the salary and allowance regime.

It is known that in the Nursing Department alone, the suspension of teaching activities will affect 6 classes: D17A, D17B, D18A, D18B, Y26, D6S. The affected courses are Endocrine Movement, Psychology - Communication Skills, Practice at School, and Internship at Quang Nam General Hospital.
