In recent years, the team of prestigious people in ethnic minorities in Kbang district, Gia Lai province has worked with local Party committees and authorities to actively propagate and mobilize people to unite, develop the economy, maintain security and order, and join hands to build new rural areas.

Implementing Sub-project 2, Project 9, National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period (National Target Program 1719), with the content "Reducing child marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority and mountainous areas", all levels of sectors from the province to the grassroots have seriously and resolutely implemented.

Specifically, based on the approved plan of the Provincial People's Committee; the contents designed in Project 9 of the National Target Program 1719, the Provincial Ethnic Committee has organized the integration of dissemination in training conferences, preliminary and final reviews of ethnic work and ethnic policies in the ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

In addition, the Provincial Ethnic Committee has also developed a Plan and budget estimate to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval, coordinated with local authorities to organize training and propaganda; distributed leaflets in key districts such as Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Que Phong, and Con Cuong.

Accordingly, taking advantage of the allocated funding, authorities at all levels from Nghe An province to the grassroots, especially localities with prominent situations such as Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Anh Son, Que Phong, Con Cuong, Nghia Dan..., have integrated and organized many propaganda and mobilization campaigns to raise awareness for ethnic minority people, along with strict handling of violations.

Vice Chairman of Tuong Duong District People's Committee Lo Thanh Nhat said: With resources from the National Target Program 1719, the district expects to quickly reduce the rate of child marriage and incestuous marriage. We are setting a target of reducing the number of child marriage couples by 2%-3% per year on average and by 2025 preventing and repelling child marriage and incestuous marriage. According to Mr. Nhat, this is a heavy task and goal that requires the entire political system and close coordination with provincial departments and branches to implement.

Organizing competitions to learn about the law on early marriage and consanguineous marriage in schools is one of the effective propaganda solutions that Ky Son district is interested in implementing.

Schools have also not been left out in contributing to reducing the rate of early marriage and incestuous marriage. Many propaganda campaigns, quizzes, dramatizations, etc. have been organized by schools to help raise awareness among students, the main victims of early marriage and incestuous marriage.

Accordingly, the rate of child marriage has decreased over the years. If in 2021 there were 309 cases, then by 2022 there were 295 cases and by the end of 2023 there were 230 cases.

In reality, the ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Nghe An are vast, with complex and difficult terrain and transportation, low and uneven educational levels, and the majority of the population still living in poverty. Therefore, the propaganda and mobilization of the people to effectively implement the situation of early marriage and incestuous marriage among ethnic minorities still faces many difficulties and limitations. In addition, some local Party committees and authorities have not really paid attention to directing drastic measures to push back the situation of early marriage and incestuous marriage in each village, hamlet, and household.
