In order to improve the quality of implementation of the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, in recent times, the monitoring activities of the Provincial People's Council have been constantly innovated and diversified in implementation methods. Through monitoring activities, shortcomings and limitations in the implementation of legal regulations and resolutions of the Provincial People's Council have been pointed out and timely solutions have been proposed. Thereby, helping to ensure the fulfillment of socio-economic development goals and important political tasks of the province.

On the basis of closely following the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council that have been issued and the actual situation in the locality, the Provincial People's Council Delegation in Dong Trieu Town has carried out many supervisions on issues of concern to voters and people in the area, such as: Management of public assets in the field of irrigation, enforcement of legal regulations in the construction of social housing, use of facilities in the medical field...

Mr. Nguyen Van Cong, Secretary of Dong Trieu Town Party Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council Delegation in Dong Trieu Town, said: Through monitoring activities, timely recommendations have been made to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Party committees and local authorities on existing issues and limitations in state management in a number of areas. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, as well as legal regulations in the area.

The delegation of the Provincial People's Council in Dong Trieu town supervises the implementation of legal regulations on social housing construction in the area.

Along with the monitoring activities of the Provincial People's Council Delegation in localities, the regular and unscheduled monitoring and survey activities of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council committees have also been strengthened to meet the general leadership, direction and administration of the province.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Council committees have carried out 3 thematic supervisions and 20 regular and unscheduled supervisions and surveys, with many innovations and diverse implementation methods, promoting democracy, enhancing publicity, transparency and participation of people's opinions to compare and objectively evaluate the implementation of state laws; coordination and information sharing between the Party's inspection and supervision agencies and lower-level elected agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations... in the unified leadership mechanism of the Provincial Party Committee.

In particular, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has completed the supervision of the Provincial Tax Department, the Provincial Customs Department and a number of localities and units on the compliance with legal provisions in the implementation of the budget collection task in the area for the period of 2021-2023. The supervision delegation has conducted research on documents, records, and reports provided by units and localities and directly supervised the Provincial Tax Department, the Provincial Customs Department, the People's Committee of Ha Long City and the People's Committee of Cam Pha City. Report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, advise the Provincial People's Council Party Delegation to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee before submitting to the Provincial People's Council at the regular mid-year meeting in 2024 on the results achieved in the implementation of the budget collection task in the area for the period of 2021-2025. The monitoring also pointed out 4 groups of problems and limitations in the implementation of the task of collecting state budget in the area and proposed solutions to effectively exploit the budget collection work to ensure serving the political tasks of the province.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council organizes the supervision of compliance with legal provisions in the performance of budget collection tasks of the People's Committee of Cam Pha City.

In addition, in order to promote the role of representing the will and aspirations of the people, special attention is paid to the supervision of the settlement of voters' petitions. Timely recommendations and proposals are made to the competent authorities on solutions to improve the effectiveness of settling voters' petitions in order to meet the legitimate aspirations of voters.

With many effective and substantive innovations, the supervision work has contributed to strengthening the trust of voters and people in the activities of the People's Council and local state power agencies, positively impacting and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management activities in the province.
